Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. Five of the six who died on the spot were from the personal vehicle. Tens of passengers were seriously injured following the incident, and were rushed to hospital by onlookers, prior to the arrival of the police. LAUTECH final year student commits suicide in hostel  A final year student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Adesoji Adediran, has committed suicide. PUNCH Metro learnt that the 500-level student of Urban and Regional Planning Department hanged himself in the school's hostel on Saturday. Our correspondent gathered that his roommates, who had been away for a night study, returned in the morning to find his corpse dangling from the ceiling. The school management was said to have been alerted, which informed policemen from the Owode division, who removed the remains. The corpse was said to have been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy. A classmate of the victim, who asked not to be identified, said Adediran's remains were found around 5.30am. He said, "He has two roommates. The roommates went for a night study on Friday. Kintampo accident; Vice president of Ghana Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed sadness over the accident at Kintampo Falls that led to the death of 18 students. According to the vice president, government will await the outcome of the investigation into the cause of the disaster and take the next line of action. He made these remarks when he visited the victims of the incident and to mourn with the bereaved families on behalf of the president on Monday, March 20. "We have lost 18 young men and women at the prime of their lives who were in school trying to make a difference to their lives; we have lost them under very tragic circumstances. We will allow the necessary investigations to go on as we see what we can do for the affected families," he noted.
