A Canadian man accused of carrying out devastating cyberattacks on Yahoo waived his right to an extradition hearing on Friday and will soon be handed over to US marshals. Karim Baratov, 22, an immigrant from Kazakhstan, was arrested on a US warrant in March for alleged hacking, commercial espionage and related crimes. A spokesman for his lawyer Amedeo DiCarlo said that Baratov wishes to expedite the case and address the charges. "A court order is in place to have the marshals come up and pick up Karim," DiCarlo told reporters. "I don't know if it's today, tomorrow. It could be any day. There's usually a two-week allowance for that." Two people were killed and six were injured in a stabbing spree in the Finnish city of Turku on Friday, police said, after officers shot one suspect and warned several others could still be at large. "There are eight victims in the stabbing. Two dead and six injured," Turku police tweeted after the assault in a market square. Police shot one suspect in the legs and arrested him. The Police said they have arrested a five-man gang of fake journalists that usually gate-crashed into important events with the mission to steal expensive phones and money. The fake journalists arrested by the police One of the gang members, Musa Auwalu, 43 years old, from Nasarawa LGA of Kano, has built a mansion, from the proceeds of the crime, the police said in a statement issued by CSP Jimoh Moshood today. The Police described him as the gang leader, adding that he was able to build the mansion from some foreign currencies stolen from an unidentified VIP at a wedding in Abuja last year. The other gang members are Kolawole Akinbode, 50 years old, from Ogun Central LGA of Ogun state, Umar Tahir Abba, 53 years old from Mubi of Adamawa state. NSCDC operatives File The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it discovered an illegal refinery in a rented apartment in Sokoto state.
