Boyfriend not poverty alleviation scheme – Reno Omokri Former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Electronic Media, Reno Omokri, has said having a boyfriend is not a poverty alleviation scheme. He urged women to learn a trade or have a business instead of being dependent on a boyfriend to provide all their needs. According to him, this will prevent many young ladies from unwanted pregnancies,sexually transmitted diseases and heartbreak. Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. A News Agency of Nigeria correspondent, who visited the pregnant woman and mother of four on her hospital bed on Monday, reports that the left hand of the victim was cut off from the wrist. Man rapes 12 year old boy to death A 12-year-old boy, identified as Aminu, has died after he was allegedly sexually abused by one Abubakar, a tea seller in Ngwayanma, in the Kontagora area of Niger State. Abubakar abducted Aminu from his parents’ in March, held him hostage in his apartment and allegedly had anal sex with the boy for two weeks, until the victim fell ill. A neighbour raised the alarm and reported the case to the police at the Kontagora division. Abubakar was arrested, but the boy later died in the hospital he was admitted. Kogi herbalist to die by hanging for killing 2 brothers A herbal medicine practitioner and ritualist, Ibrahim Mohammed, has been sentenced to death by hanging for killing two brothers in Koton-Karfe area of Kogi State. During this period we have the rising of the continents, the weathering of the rocks, and the soil forming gradually to make preparation for the plant life that is to follow. But remember that all this on the physical level is but a manifestation of the parallel spiritual and moral reality, and every view of nature ought to speak volumes to us about who God is, what He does, and what He intends. These things are at once real and visible and, at the same time, the picture of something unseen that relates to our inner life. We learn that this human life on eart
