File photo used only for illustrative purpose A man simply identified as Tele Egbegi has been alleged to have raped his ten-year old daughter (name withheld) to death in Okugbene Community, Burutu Local Government Area of  Delta State , Daily Post reports. Daily Post gathered that the girl died on Tuesday at about 8pm and she is still lying in state in her father's compound waiting for the arrival of the mother's family from Ayakoromo community. Meanwhile, her father, Tele Egbegi has fled the community for fear of being mobbed. The matter came to the public domain when local doctors who administered treatment on the deceased who recently fell seriously sick confirmed that she was being molested and that someone bigger than her was having canal knowledge of her. It was gathered that the girl allegedly accused an innocent person for molesting her because her father threatened her not to mention his name, but later confessed that it was her father who had been having carnal knowle

The Imo State Police Command has declared a suspected armed robber, Ekene Amadi, wanted for allegedly shooting a police Inspector, Oliver Nwaba. According to a statement issued by police spokesperson in the state, Andrew Enwerem, the officer was shot during an attack by Amadi's gang on policemen at Nipping Point at Nkaraha Junction, along Owerri-Port Harcourt Road. Enwerem said the 26-year-old Amadi, who is on the run, had earlier been apprehended by the police on May 22, 2017, arraigned in court and remanded in Owerri prison. The suspect was, however, said to have been released by the court, after which he allegedly went back to his criminal activities, terrorising Nkaraha Junction and Ohaji in the Ohaji /Egbema Local Government Area of the state. The police urged anybody with information on the whereabouts of the wanted robbery suspect, who hails from Umuna Umuagwo Mgbisi in Ohaji /Egbema Local Government Area of the state, to report to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, State Headquarter

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has called on the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, to start sewing his prison uniform now, saying he will definitely end up in jail, when he leaves power in 2019. This called was made by an APC chieftain and Senatorial candidate, for Owerri Senatorial District, in the 2015 general elections, and former member of the Federal House of Representative, Uche Onyeagucha.  The APC chieftain, who said that he was angered by the alleged comment by the Governor, that he has spoilt Imo people with projects, accused the Governor of littering the State with hundreds of abandoned projects. "I was a Senatorial candidate, I should be a Leader in APC, while Rochas should be in prison for the way and manner he has looted Imo State. He should rather be sewing his prison uniform.
