*Panetta was Bill Clinton's chief of staff *The remarks come after Gillibrand said Clinton should have resigned (CNN) Former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta defended President Bill Clinton on Saturday, telling CNN he "more than paid the price" for his affair with Monica Lewinsky while he was in office. "The fact that he went through an impeachment process as President of the United States," Panetta told CNN's Ana Cabrera in an interview Saturday. "The House of Representatives voted for articles of impeachment, (but) the Senate did not. Panetta, who served as Clinton's chief of staff, continued: "But the mere fact that he went through an impeachment process as President means that there will always be a shadow on the legacy of his presidency, so at least from my point of view, he's more than paid the price." His remarks come after New York Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said she believes Clinton should have resigned after the scandal

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said. Officer Brian Shaw had been with the New Kensington, Pa., police department for less than a year, police Chief Jim Klein said at a news conference, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.   "I'm asking anybody with any information, as minute as they think it might be, please, please give us a call. We need to find the person who did this," Klein said, Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV reported. READ MUM`S UNIQUE PUNISHMENT FOR 13 YEAR OLD SON AS IT GOES VIRAL

When Demetris Payne saw a missed call from her son's junior high school, she knew something was wrong. With a sigh, the single mom of four from Shreveport, Louisiana, called back. A school official said her 13-year-old son Jadarien was suspended for three days for talking back to his teacher. She was told to pick him up right away.   "Three days seems kind of harsh -- why not do in-school suspension?" Payne asked. But since Jadarien had been in trouble once before, they said he had to leave. As soon as the pair got home, Payne took away her son's cellphone and video games. She left him with her 70-year-old father who lives with them.   "When I got home from work he's eating strawberries and having fun with my dad," Payne told CBS News. "I was like, 'Oh no.' It was like a vacation."   Payne knew she needed to do more to discipline him. So she handed him a rake and asked him to start cleaning up the yar

15 MEN EXONERATED IN CASES LINKED TO CORRUPT COP

The drug convictions of 15 men in Chicago have been thrown out after they claimed they were framed years earlier by a police sergeant, who went to prison for a related crime, and his team of officers. The dismissal of charges against the men, who together had 18 convictions, is believed to the first-ever mass exoneration in Cook County, the nation's second most populous county.   "In these cases, we concluded, unfortunately, the police were not being truthful, and we couldn't have confidence in the integrity of their reports and their testimony, and so, in good conscience, we could not see these convictions stand," Mark Rotert of the Cook County Conviction Integrity Unit said in a news conference. Seven other officers have been placed on desk duty pending an internal review of more incidents, the Chicago Police Department told CNN. Those officers all worked under Watts, CNN affiliate WBBM reported. Rotert, of the state's attorney's office,

U.S JUSTICE & GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE APOLOGIZES FOR SEXUAL HISTORY BOAST

Image
An Ohio Supreme Court justice who recently declared his intention to run for governor faced widespread condemnation — and even some calls to resign — after he boasted about his sexual history while defending "heterosexual males."     Justice William O'Neill posted a statement Friday morning on Facebook about what he described as the "national feeding frenzy about sexual indiscretions," and in doing so disclosed details about his sexual history.   "As a candidate for Governor let me save my opponents some research time," O'Neill wrote. "In the last fifty years I was sexually intimate with approximately 50 very attractive females. It ranged from a gorgeous blonde who was my first true love and we made passionate love in the hayloft of her parents barn and ended with a drop dead gorgeous red head from Cleveland.   "Now can we get back to discussing legalizing marijuana and opening the state hospital network to combat

Air Force Gen. John Hyten, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command (STRATCOM), told an audience at the Halifax International Security Forum in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Saturday that he has given a lot of thought to what he would say if Mr. Trump ordered a strike he considered unlawful.           "I think some people think we're stupid," Hyten said in response to a question about such a scenario. "We're not stupid people. We think about these things a lot. When you have this responsibility, how do you not think about it?"            Hyten explained the process that would follow such a command. As head of STRATCOM, Hyten is responsible for overseeing the U.S. nuclear arsenal. "I p

An upstate woman has stepped forward to reveal she is the sex-harass accuser who prompted the  resignation last month of a high-ranking Gov. Cuomo appointee  — and to accuse the governor of repeatedly ignoring his pal's "horrific acts." In a shocking Manhattan federal court lawsuit filed Saturday, Lisa Marie Cater alleges former Empire State Development Corp. regional president William "Sam" Hoyt got her a job at the DMV and then leveraged it to "manipulate, sexually harass and sexually assault" her. Sam Hoyt in 2006  The bombshell complaint — which names Cuomo and Hoyt as defendants — says Cater contacted Cuomo's office no less than six times but met "deliberate indifference."
