Tragedy-One Dies as Ex-footballer Narrowly Escaped Death When SUV Plunged In to a Gutter in Lagos

Former player for the Nigeria Women’s National team,Super Falcons,Chiamaka “Chi-Chi” Igbo said she narrowly escaped death when an SUV plunged into a gutter at the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State.

She took to Instagram and wrote;
“It’s only God that protects,it’s unfortunate cos this could have been anyone…I just went through that road and this happened just few mins of me walking that same path. Right outside the entrance to lekki phase 1.

“Apparently the unfortunate guy was a bystander. May the soul of the departed rest in peace.This will not be your portion or that of your loved ones,in Jesus name.”Amen

NSCDC operatives File The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) said it discovered an illegal refinery in a rented apartment in Sokoto state. The Rivers State Police Command has nabbed a suspected cultist, who allegedly used a kidnap victim's intestines to prepare pepper soup. The Command also disclosed that two more suspects have been arrested in connection with the ritual killing of the eight-year-old girl, Miss Chikamso Mezuwuba, by a suspected ritualist, Ifeanyichikwu Dike. NIGERIA POLICE SPEAK ON MOB JUSTICE INCIDENTS IN LAGOS

The  Police in Lagos have warned residents of the state against subjecting suspected criminals to jungle justice. Fatai Owoseni, the state police commissioner, in a statement on Friday warned that those found involved in the "unlawful and barbaric act" would be prosecuted.   "There is no justification for jungle justice on suspected persons," Mr. Owoseni said.   "It is barbaric and uncivilized. It is a manifestation of the erosion of our moral values and a disregard to sanctity of human lives.
