BOMB BLAST IN MAIDUGURI KILLS 16,22 INJURED

At least 16 people have been killed and 20 others injured when suicide bombers attacked villages on the outskirts of Maiduguri last night, eyewitnesses said.

According to accounts, four suicide bombers stormed Polo and Molai general areas in Jere LGA of Borno State killing 12 civilians and wounding about 20 others around 10 pm.

Residents of Molai Kaliyari village, Goni Ali also said two female bombers attacked Civilian JTF post killing 11 members of the security outfit. "All the people we lost here were Civilian JTF members who volunteer to protect us, they were attacked by two female bombers." a resident Ali Kauna told Saharareporters.

Chairman CJTF at Molai Kaliyari village Gambo Bukar also confirmed that 12 civilian JTF were killed and seven are currently receiving treatment at State Specialist Hospital.

"This won't deter us to continue to protect our people, we lost 12 members in all their satanic attacked and 22 people are seriously wounded including 12 of our members," Bukar said.

Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. Jamie Harron, 27, has been sentenced to three months in jail in Dubai for touching a man's hip as he carried a drink through a crowded bar. FORMER SHELTON MANAGER ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING EMPLOYEES

The former manager of a Shelton restaurant is accused of sexually harassing employees and touching them inappropriately. Police started the investigation in March 2016 when three female employees of Dee's Kitchen at 509 Howe Ave. in Shelton went to police to report that 58-year-old Bryan Stockbridge, of Ansonia, was sexually harassing them and had touched them inappropriately on several occasions. Detectives quickly obtained an arrest warrant, but they could not apprehend him, police said. They then obtained information that Stockbridge fled to California after an interview with detectives. Shelton police obtained information today that Stockbridge was back in Connecticut, living in Ansonia, and they took him into custody. Stockbridge has been charged with three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court tomorrow.

Some school children have suffered irreparable harm after a lorry ploughed straight into them on the road. Three children have been killed and two others seriously injured after a lorry ploughed into them near a school, Daily Star UK reports. The youngsters were crossing the road in a big group when the lorry rammed into them in the horrific incident.
