WOMAN ACCUSED OF SETTING EX'S HOME ABLAZE OVER TEDDY BEAR

A teddy bear was the catalyst of a fight that involved a Florida woman setting her ex's house ablaze and stabbing an officer, officials said.

Brittany Bonin, 26, and the ex-boyfriend started feuding Saturday when she went to his home to retrieve the stuffed animal that she had given to his daughter, news station WESH reported.

She reportedly pushed her way into the home while her ex fled for safety at the house of a nearby off-duty deputy.
Before she left, Bonin allegedly set the house on fire and then followed the man to the neighbor's home where she attempted to attack him, according to news station WFTV.

Volusia County Capt. Cliff Williams, the off-duty deputy, attempted to protect the man from Bonin but was stabbed shielding him, police said.

Police said Williams was brought to Florida Hospital in New Smyrna Beach with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Bonin was booked at Volusia County Brach Jail on charges of assault, battery and arson.
She appeared before a judge Sunday morning and was denied bail.

The Nigerian Air Force has sentenced to death by hanging Airman Kalu Bernard, for killing his lover, Solape Oladipupo, aka Shomzy Shomzy, on March 12, 2017. The judgment, which started at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, dragged till 4 p.m. when it was stood down before the panelists reconvened at 7:30 p.m. Reading out the 70-page court findings, which lasted for about two hours, the Judge Advocate, Flight Lieutenant M.A. Umoh, listed the eight-count charges against 21-year-old Kalu to include murder, house breaking, impersonation, attempted murder, among others. The defense counsel, Abimiku Ewuga, urged the court to temper justice with mercy, saying the accused was his family breadwinner. The President of the court, Gp. Capt. Saudi police shoot dead IS suspect MARCH 8TH 2017,          Police in Saudi Arabia said Wednesday they shot dead a member of the Islamic State group in the capital, the latest suspected jihadist to be killed by security forces. A man has been arrested by the Egyptian police after he allegedly admitted to beating his 85-year-old mother to death because his wife complained about her. Zeinab as-Sayyid Mahfouz died at a hospital in Alexandria on September 15 after what many speculated to be domestic violence. Ghanaian Reggae musician Ekow Micah has stood his ground regarding his stance for smoking "wee". Micah referred to the Holy Bible and cited an instance where God smoked marijuana popularly known as "wee" In an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM's "Entertainment Review", Ekow Micah said he smokes because the almighty God smoked. He quoted Psalm 18:7-8 to buttress his point. "The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it". GIANT HORNETS STING 87 YEAR OLD WOMAN TO DEATH

Asian Hornet A wheelchair-bound 87-year-old pensioner, Chieko Kikuchi, who was attacked by giant hornets in Japan and stung 150 times, has died. According to a firefighter,  emergency workers stood by powerless to help her. A swarm of hornets swooped on Kikuchi as she was on her way back from her care centre in western Japan, accompanied by a helper. The helper called firefighters but they could not reach the woman immediately as the swarm around her was too thick and they had no protective equipment. After the ordeal, which lasted around 50 minutes, the woman was rushed to hospital but died the following day, the firefighter said. "It was an unusual operation for us," he admitted. The death occurred in mid-September but was only reported on Friday, making headline news on national bulletins.
