Andy Hepworth, 44, says his wife Heidi Hepworth, 44, ditched him for 30-year-old Mamadou Jallow from Gambia after she started chatting with strangers online. According to the heartbroken man, who feels his wife has been brainwashed, says she's now asking for a divorce, saying her future is with Mamadou. He said she gave herself new treats, including getting new tattoos, giving herself a makeover, then flew to Gambia last month, her first ever trip out of the UK - abandoning her nine children and starting a new life with Mamadou. Speaking to the Sun UK, the devasted husband said: "It's a midlife crisis. She started going to the gym, booking sunbeds, getting tattoos and wearing dresses. The person she has become is horrible. She was a loving, caring mum. Now it's like an alien has possessed her body. He has brainwashed her...

AMERICA APPEALS AGAINST THE WITHDRAWAL OF AFRICAN UNION TROOPS FROM SOMALIA,PLEDGES SUPPORT

Image
The United States has appealed against the downsizing of African Union troops in Somalia fearing escalation of extremist attacks. The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) announced last week that following a decision by the AU and UN Security Council to hand over security responsibilities to the Somali Army, a thousand soldiers will be withdrawn from the country by the end of 2017. The U.S. State Department told East African regional news portal The EastAfrican that the decision calls for concern and they are ready to continue their support for the mission until the time the Somali forces can take over. "We do not support further drawdown of forces beyond that level at this time, due to ongoing security concerns. The United States supports a conditions-based Amisom drawdown that is tied to the development of capable, professional Somali security forces," said Wohlers Marion, Foreign Service Officer at the State Department. AMISOM chief Francisco Madeiro had said that the...

HOLLYWOOD SEX SCANDALS GO WAY BACK

Image
Decades ago, Warner Bros. studio mesmerized moviegoers with films such as "The Jazz Singer" and "Casablanca" — some of the most popular hits of cinema's golden age. Now, the four Jewish-American brothers who founded that studio — Jack, Harry, Sam and Albert — are the marquee attractions of a new book: "Warner Bros: The Making of An American Movie Studio," by film critic and historian David Thomson. It's part of Yale University Press' Jewish Lives series, and the protagonist is studio head Jack Warner — a walking paradigm of Hollywood success and scandal. Warner is "maybe the biggest scumbag ever to get into a Jewish Lives series," writes Thomson. But when Yale suggested Thomson take up the Warner Bros. for the series, the acclaimed author of 20 books was intrigued. It hadn't occurred to him to write about a corporation, he told The Times of Israel. He said, "certain corporations that were absolutely vital in the history o mov...

TRUMP AND PUTIN AGREE TO "NO MILITARY ACTION/SOLUTION IN SYRIA"

Image
Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin meet in Vietnam  The United States and Russia issued a presidential joint statement saying there was "no military solution" to the war in Syria after their leaders met briefly on the sidelines of a regional summit in Vietnam. There had been mixed messages for days from both Moscow and the White House on whether President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin would hold face-to-face discussions during the APEC summit in Danang. The statement, issued by officials from both sides, said the two presidents had made progress on Syria, which has been battered by six years of civil war. The US and Russia have backed competing factions in the bloody conflict, and agreement on the next steps towards peace is rare. "The presidents agreed that there is no military solution to the conflict in Syria," the statement said, adding that the two sides "confirmed their determination to defeat ISIS" – an alternative name for th...

•476-carat jewel found in Kono province follows 709-carat rock found by local pastor Another huge diamond has been released from the Earth's clutches following an astounding discovery in the West African country earlier this year. Sierra Leone's Minerals Agency announced on Saturday that a 476-carat diamond was discovered in the Kono district – the same eastern part of the country where a local pastor unearthed a 709.1-carat stone in March. Pastor Emmanuel Momoh's discovery was the biggest diamond to be found in Sierra Leone since 1972, when the 969-carat Star of Sierra Leone was dug up by miners. It is also one of the largest diamonds unearthed in recent years at mines in southern Africa, behind Lucara Diamond's (TSX:LUC) 1,111-carat rock found in Botswana in 2015 , and among the 20 largest diamonds ever found. While Sierra Leone hasn't officially revealed the yellow-hued diamond's worth, experts value it at over $50 million. The diamond found on Saturday will ...
