The devastated uncle of a man who who was fatally injured while trying to stop his car from being stolen in  Chorlton   has spoken of his grief. Michael Samwell, 35, rushed out of his home in the early hours of Sunday morning - only be run over by his own Audi S3 car as it was being driven away. MAN STABBED REPEATEDLY BY INTRUDERS WHO FORCED THEIR WAY INTO FLAT

Location of attack The attack happened in a flat above this shop shortly after 6pm last night. A man was stabbed repeatedly after a gang forced their way into a flat in Blackley . Police say two vehicles pulled up outside the premises in Victoria Avenue at about 6.30pm last night. A number of offenders got into the flat which is close to a flower shop - Avenue Flowers. He was taken to hospital with what GMP describe as "serious" injuries. Detectives are checking CCTV cameras and it is expected that details of the cars used by the gang will be issued later. WOMAN THREATENED WITH KNIFE DURING ATTEMPTED RAPE

A dog walker was attacked by a man who held a knife to her throat and attempted to rape her. The victim, aged in her 30s, was walking her two dogs on waste land, near to Bedford Avenue, in Walkden, when she was approached by a man just before 7pm last night (Sunday). The man asked her for the time, but then grabbed the woman and pulled her into some trees. He then threatened the victim with a knife and ordered her to hand over her jewellery. Police said the attacker then tried to rape the woman, but she managed to fight him off and fled from the scene. Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward. The attacker is described as white, of stocky build and aged in his mid 30. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black tracksuit and was wearing white Nike trainers with a white tick on them. President Xi Jinping called for restraint when dealing with North Korea during a telephone call with President Donald Trump, Chinese state media reported Monday. The official broadcaster CCTV quoted Xi as telling Trump that China strongly opposed North Korea's nuclear weapons program, which are in violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions, and hoped "all parties will exercise restraint and avoid aggravating the situation" on the Korean Peninsula. The Trump administration has warned that all options, including a military strike, are "on the table" to halt North Korea's ambitions of developing a nuclear-tipped missile that could reach the U.S. mainland. It was reported that Kristyna died on Tuesday, April 18. It was reported that she died after having a seizure while undergoing more surgery. YOUTH PROTEST SENATOR ADELEKE'S DEATH,SUSPECT FOUL PLAY

THE LATE SENATOR Irate youths protesting the sudden demise of Senator Isiaka Adeleke have attacked a journalist attached to the NTA, Mr. Tope Alabi, and his cameraman. The incident happened as the NTA crew moved to the residence of the late politician in Ede to cover the sad event.One of the youths, however, used a motorcycle to rescue Alabi, while the cameraman ran inside one of the houses nearby as the youths wielding cudgel and sticks pursued him. The youths believed that Adeleke was attacked spiritually, while others claimed that he was poisoned, hence his sudden demise. They said he was killed to pave way for another APC aspirant to win next year’s governorship election.

300 LEVEL VARSITY STUDENT SODOMIZES 10 YEAR OLD GIRL TO DEATH

A 300 Level student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana has reportedly raped a ten-year-old girl to death. The student was said to have anally raped the girl for over three years, damaging her anus and feeding her with a cocktail of painkillers which caused her kidneys to fail, killing her. Reports from Ghanaian online news media said the young man was arrested on Tuesday after the girl was taken to the hospital following her complaints of pains in her anus. Medical tests at the hospital showed she had been sodomised, and revealed damages to her intestines and kidney. The young man is reported to have given the 10-year-old girl eight tablets of paracetamol to kill the pains anytime he has sexual intercourse with her through the anus. He is also reported to have warned the girl not to reveal his sexual encounters with her to anyone or else she will die.

MIDDLE AGED MAN CAUGHT WITH HUMAN PARTS

A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for being in possession of human parts. Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been under surveillance of residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building. It was also gathered that the neighbours of the suspect swooped on his residence at about noon on Sunday and the suspect was allegedly caught with human parts. He was later dragged to Adewole Police station in the Ilorin metropolis amidst shouting and rain of curses by the crowd of people. It was also gathered that house of the suspect was demolished and his properties were carted away by hoodlums who took advantage of the situation to perpetuate their dastardly acts. TRADITIONAL RULERS ALLEGEDLY AIDING MILITANT/CRIMINAL ATTACKS

The Nigerian police have accused traditional rulers and chiefs in Ikorodu of working with criminals in their communities to unleash terror on residents. Commissioner of Police in Lagos State Fatai Owoseni said on Sunday at a meeting with the traditional rulers that the worsening cases of violence in Ikorodu is being sponsored by Baales in the area. ”They allow militants to build houses harbouring criminals in the creeks,” he said.The Lagos state police boss urged the royal fathers to call their chiefs to order. He added that the meeting was convened to tell the traditional rulers that their ”silent conspiracy will no longer be tolerated.” ”Traditional rulers cannot tell me they don’t know who is who in their domain; all communities are advised to organise their local vigilantes,” Owoseni said. According to him, most kidnappings, killings and other violent crimes in Lagos take place in Ikorodu area and called on communities to partner the security management.
