INDIAN HEMP FARM,THE SIZE OF 74 FOOTBALL FIELDS TO BE DESTROYED

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Osun command, on Saturday disclosed that it destroyed a 60.8 hectares of India hemp (Cannabis Sativa) farm at Ikeji Arakeji, in the state. A standard football pitch is maximum 0.82 hectares, indicating the size of the Indian hemp farm is over 74 football pitches. Samuel Egbeola, the state commandant of the NDLEA, disclosed this during an interview with journalists at the agency’s office in Osogbo. According to Mr. Egbeola, the hemp farm was discovered and destroyed on Thursday, following a tip-off from an informant. He said the agency also seized 10 bags of already harvested cannabis which weighed 107.4kilograms. He said two suspects found on the farm during the operation were equally arrested and that the arrested suspects were helping the agency in their investigation. The NDLEA boss assured the people of the state that the agency would always stick to its responsibilities of ensuring a drug free state.

Traditional chiefs of Afaraukwu community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State have called on the state government to assist them in looking for leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu and his parents. They lamented that Kanu, his mother and father, who is the traditional ruler of the town, got missing following the September 10 invasion of Kanu’s community. According to them, the disappearance of Eze Israel Kanu, his wife and son for more than three weeks after the soldiers’ invasion was giving them sleepless nights. A member of Eze Kanu’s cabinet, Chimechefulam Odoemelam, told Punch that he was worried about the disappearance of the monarch and his family members. He said, “The truth is that we have not seen or heard from our Eze since we all came back. A high school senior from Bartow County was hit by a vehicle and killed Saturday morning while he was walking near the school he attended, the Georgia State Patrol said. 15 DAY OLD INFANT MISSING UNDER SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

Investigators say the Saturday morning disappearance of a 15-day-old infant from Newton County is suspicious.  Caliyah McNabb's parents called 911 when they noticed she was missing around 10 a.m. Saturday, Channel 2 Action News reported. They told officials she was fed at 5 a.m. and she was gone when they woke up. Family members gave Channel 2 a photo of the missing baby. Caliyah McNabb      Newton County sheriff's deputies and dogs searched a 2-mile radious around the Eagle Point trailer park in Covington. "I want my kid back, man,” Christopher McNabb told the news station. “That's my child, man. I want my kid!"  Family members were shocked and saddened. "She was so tiny. Christian Nwosu An ex - Administrative Secretary with the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Christian Nwosu , on Thursday alleged that he was cajoled into confessing to taking a bribe of N 30m to compromise the 2015 general elections. Nwosu , who is being prosecuted before the Federal High Court in Lagos for alleged bribery , claimed that the three confessional statements he made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on December 28, 2016 and March 15 and 22, 2017 were not done voluntarily . He claimed to have been threatened and cajoled to make the confessional statements, adding that he was not given the opportunity to consult his lawyer before he made the statements. He, however, admitted that he signed for and collected N 30m from Fidelity Bank.
