Gov. Dickson, Ibori discuss ways to tackle insecurity in Niger-Delta region MARCH 9th, 2017 JAMES IBORI The governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson and the ex-governor of Delta state, James Ibori have resolved to jointly mobilize and employ the resources at their disposal towards tackling security issues plaguing the Niger-Delta region. Apo six: Court sentences 2 officers to death, discharges 3 MARCH 9TH 2017, Justice Ishaq Bello of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has delivered judgment in the alleged extra judicial killing of six spare parts traders at Apo area of Abuja by six police officers in 2005. Delivering his judgement, Justice Bello sentenced two of the defendants to death and discharged the other three for lack of sufficient evidence since one of them has been at large. The officers are Danjuma Ibrahim, Othman Abdulsalami (now at large), Nicholas Zakaria, Ezekiel Acheneje, Baba Emmanuel and Sadiq Salami.
