PHOTONEWS: Archbishop of Canterbury visits Buhari in London

Photographs have emerged of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in his London vacation spot.

The President who took to his official twitter handle @MBuhari wrote “Very pleased to welcome the Most Revd and Rt Hon @JustinWelby, Archbishop of Canterbury, to Abuja House this afternoon.”
Buhari is currently on a medical vacation in London, the United Kingdom.

Shortly after Buhari embarked on his medical vacation to London, rumours had it that he was dead.

The rumour was further fuelled by the fact that the President, on the day he was expected back, sent a letter to the National Assembly , informing them of his decision to extend his vacation to enable him complete and receive medical results.

Last month, the President through his media aide, Femi Adesina revealed that series of medical check-ups he carried out in the cause of his vacation had necessitated his prolonged stay in London.

DETECTIVES of Delta State Police Command investigating the September 5 ambush of bank officials and policemen on the Benin-Asaba Expressway by bandits, who carted away N25 million from a bullion van, have apprehended and detained an Inspector and three other policemen, said to be on illegal escort duty. Police Public Relations Officer of Delta Command, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, who confirmed the arrest and detention of the policemen to Vanguard in Asaba, said Police have released two officials of the bank earlier arrested, while investigations were ongoing. He revealed that the fifth policeman on the illegal escort was shot dead by the bandits, noting that some officials of the bank had earlier approached the Operations Department of the Command for escort men, but that the request was turned down on the grounds that the bank did not have a serviceable van required for such operations. MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Authorities are investigating an early morning homicide just off of Stateline Road. Initial reports indicated the 20-year-old victim was inside a car at the Ashland Lakes Apartments around 3 a.m. when he was shot. Two individuals rushed him to the Olive Branch Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The driver and passenger were detained for questioning by Olive Branch. THE MEADOWS FAMILY INCLUDING JONATHAN MEADOWS BACKROW WARREN, OHIO ― Bresha Meadows, a 15-year-old who fatally shot her father in his sleep last summer, pleaded true to a charge of involuntary manslaughter on Monday, ending a legal ordeal that began over nine months earlier. “This is a good child,” her attorney, Ian Friedman, said in Ohio’s Trumbull County Family Court. “She grew up in an environment where every adult failed her. … This did not have to happen.” As part of a plea agreement, Bresha was sentenced to a year and a day in juvenile detention, as well as six additional months at a residential mental health facility and two years of probation. She’ll get credit for time served, so she can move to the mental health facility in about two months. Her record will be sealed and expunged when she reaches adulthood. *Police were called to Piccadilly bus station after a suitcase was found on the 192 bus and a man reportedly ran from the scene A suitcase has been left on a bus at Piccadilly bus station sparking a security alert. Police were called to Portland Street after the suitcase was found on the 192 bus at 11.35am. Greater Manchester Police officers are on their way to the scene to investigate. It's understood a man got onto the Stagecoach bus and dropped the suitcase in the middle aisle. He then reportedly ran off the bus service, which was travelling from the city centre to Stockport.   A gunman in a Las Vegas hotel opened fire Sunday night at a concert. The shooting happened near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
