Three people who supplied drugs across Manchester city centre were busted during a series of raids as part of a specialist police operation. Elvis Hasanaj, 22, Paula Tabacaru, 23, and and Kamer Mici, 26, were jailed at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday. The court heard how Tabacaru would take orders on a drugs hotline and use Mici and Hasanaj as runners around the city centre. The trio were caught out when officers raided a number of properties across Manchester and Salford as part of Operation Challenger. GUNMAN OPENS FIRE ON BUSY MAIN ROAD IN RUSH-HOUR DRIVE-BY SHOOTING ATTACK IN CHEETHAM

Police are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage from the busy junction to come forward. A drive-by gunman opened fire on a busy main road, hitting his target in the leg. The 29-year-old victim told officers he was at the junction of Queen's Road and Smedley Road in Cheetham Hill , near a dental surgery, when a car pulled alongside and he was shot. It's believed the shooting happened at about 5pm on Thursday, when that area would have been heavy with traffic. Queen's Road links Cheetham Hill with Harpurhey and east Manchester, and Smedley Road leads to the centre of Cheetham Hill and north Manchester. It's a cut through for commuters wishing to avoid Manchester city centre and a busy bus route. The victim arrived at North Manchester General Hospital about an hour after the attack.Staff at the hospital immediately alerted Greater Manchester Police after it was confirmed his injury was caused by a bullet. 2 TEACHERS AND A NURSE ARRAIGNED FOR DEFILING 7 PUPILS AND ABORTION

Two teachers of Nazareth Junior and Senior College, Epe, Lagos State, have been arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate's Court for allegedly defiling seven pupils of the school. The teachers, Oke Mustapha and Yisau Musibau, were arraigned on Friday on three counts bordering on sexual assault. A native nurse, Abimbola Adessani, was also arraigned for administering drugs on a pupil who was impregnated by one of the teachers. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi, who disclosed this in his office on Thursday, said that the arrest followed the confession by the teachers to sexual abuse at a Personnel Management Board meeting to investigate the allegation. He explained that the pupils, who were the complainants, had offered statements at the Lagos State Police Command. Odeyemi added that the government had ordered a comprehensive medical examination for the pupils to aid investigations.

A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. He got it a number of months ago while in prison serving a two year and three month sentence in the Otago Correction Facility for aggravated robbery, the NZ Herald reports. Cropp said he was going through a ' rough patch' with people trying to bully him at the time and believed people were more cautious around those with tattoos in prison. He said he 's been told he wouldn 't be employed with " that on his face, " and had people shrug and laugh at him .
