2 TEACHERS AND A NURSE ARRAIGNED FOR DEFILING 7 PUPILS AND ABORTION

Two teachers of Nazareth Junior and Senior College, Epe, Lagos State, have been arraigned before an Ogba Magistrate's Court for allegedly defiling seven pupils of the school.

The teachers, Oke Mustapha and Yisau Musibau, were arraigned on Friday on three counts bordering on sexual assault. A native nurse, Abimbola Adessani, was also arraigned for administering drugs on a pupil who was impregnated by one of the teachers.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mr. Adesina Odeyemi, who disclosed this in his office on Thursday, said that the arrest followed the confession by the teachers to sexual abuse at a Personnel Management Board meeting to investigate the allegation.

He explained that the pupils, who were the complainants, had offered statements at the Lagos State Police Command. Odeyemi added that the government had ordered a comprehensive medical examination for the pupils to aid investigations.

Egypt on Thursday blocked 21 websites, including Qatari news network Al Jazeera and Islamist-affiliated platforms, following in the footsteps of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Among those blocked since Wednesday evening is the website of the now-banned Muslim Brotherhood, Ikhwan Online, according to a report in the privately owned Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. SAPULPA, Okla. - Police say an elementary school teacher was arrested on multiple charges after accidentally leaving her Facebook page open on a school computer. Officers were called to Holmes Park Elementary School on Monday after a teacher found Megan Sloan's Facebook page open on a computer, according to KOKI-TV. Authorities say the page featured a conversation where Sloan reportedly asked about using and selling heroin. Detectives told KOKI that during the investigation, Sloan allegedly admitted to pawning two iPads that belonged to the school district.
