The former aviation minister took to twitter on Friday evening to knife Okorocha once again with his tweets. Fani-Kayode tweeted that Okorocha sacrificed his left leg to the Devil to become governor. His tweets read; U sacrificed ur left leg to the devil in a money-making ritual just to be governor. Now it is rotting, it stinks, u limp and u are in pain. The pain won't go. The wound won't heal. NIGERIAN LABOUR CONGRESS KICKS AGAINST IMMUNITY FOR LAWMAKERS

The President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, has condemned the recent move by the National Assembly to grant immunity to its principal officers. He decried the move while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Friday. Wabba said public office holders should not be seeking protections, adding that immunity has not helped Nigeria in anyway. "On the issue of immunity, as NLC we have made the point very clear that the issue of immunity has not assisted to a larger extent especially in the context of transparency, accountability and the rule of law and I think that is an issue that should not arise. "We have made statements in the recent past saying that in other spheres even Presidents, governors can also be interrogated and also prosecuted on very clear criminal issues and that has been our position. If you begin to possibly expand this issue of immunity then it will not benefit our system. &

One person has been killed and four others injured in a knife attack in a supermarket in the northern German city of Hamburg, the city's police said. The assailant entered the supermarket in the Barmbek district on Friday afternoon and stabbed one person, who died at the scene, police said. As he fled, he injured another four people. He was overwhelmed by passers-by and slightly injured in the process, police said. Officers then arrested the man. The acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has been endorsed by 25 countries for his fight against corruption. The commission's spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, made this known in a statement issued on Friday. Uwujaren said the endorsement was the outcome of an opinion poll conducted by UK-based Global Peace Movement International. Transparency index The poll came a week after Transparency International (TI) released its latest transparency index, he said. According to him, Nigeria for the first time in over a decade, moved up in the global anti-corruption and transparency ranking. He said that analysts had attributed the improvement to the efforts of the EFCC under Magu. "According to the report by Transparency International, the corruption perception index ranked 176 countries on a scale of 0 (perceived to be corrupt) to 100 (perceived to be clean). "

The police chief disclosed that the gun battle took place in the creeks of Ondo state, leaving one civilian volunteer dead, while four other civilian volunteers and eight policemen sustained injuries. Owoseni, who made the disclosure on Friday at a press briefing in Lagos, also disclosed that the force had arrested a man who attempted to defraud the parents of the kidnapped students by asking them to bring the ransom for the students to Abeokuta. He commended South West Governors for their commitment to combat crime in the region, saying that the communiqué issued in Abeokuta with respect to creation of Joint Security Task Force for the region, is already yielding positive result.
