JAPAN SAYS NORTH KOREAN NUCLEAR TEST 10 TIMES POWERFUL THAN HIROSHIMA

By

Pyongyang's Sunday test of what it described as a hydrogen bomb designed for a long-range missile triggered global alarm and has divided the international community as it scrambles for a response/AFP

Japan on Wednesday upgraded its estimated size of North Korea's latest nuclear test to a yield of around 160 kilotons, which is more than ten times the size of the Hiroshima bomb.

This marked Tokyo's second revision higher after previously giving estimates of 70 and 120 kilotons.

Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera told reporters that his ministry's upward revision to 160 kilotons was based on a revised magnitude by the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation (CTBTO).

"This is far more powerful than their nuclear tests in the past," Onodera told reporters.

The US bomb that destroyed Hiroshima in 1945 carried a yield of 15 kilotons.

Estimate

Japan's latest estimate far exceeded the yield of between 50 and 100 kilotons indicated by UN political affairs chief Jeffrey Feltman at the UN Security Council.

Early Wednesday, Onodera held telephone talks with US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and both agreed to step up "visible pressure" on North Korea, the ministry in Tokyo said.

"North Korea's nuclear and missile development is at a new stage of grave and imminent threats," Onodera told Mattis, the ministry said, adding that his US counterpart shared the view.

There was a big red stain spreading between us on the sheets. ‘After that he was scared of my lady garden and approached it as if it was a Venus flytrap and he was a fly.’ She was adamant that that the injury was caused by the mesh but doctors assured her everything was fine. They avoided sex and six months later they split up. She stopped eating as her confi...

Since 2014, 117 children — the “vast majority” of them girls — have been used to carry out attacks in public places across Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon, said the report by the United Nations children’s agency UNICEF. Four children were used to carry out bomb attacks in 2014, 56 in 2015, 30 in 2016 and 27 in the first three months of 2017, reported UNICEF. “The increase reflects an alarming tactic by the insurgents,” said the report. “This is the...

BIAFRA: Press Release  IPOB UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF NNAMDI KANU HAS BROUGHT A TRANSFORMATIONAL REVOLUTION THAT WILL ENSURE THE LIBERATION OF BIAFRA IN PARTICULAR AND ALL OPPRESSED PEOPLES OF NIGERIA IN NIGERIA The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has the undeniable recognition as the pacesetter in the current quest for the restoration of the nation of Biafra and liberation of all enslaved peoples currently trapped in the British-created monstrosity called Nigeria. For the records, Nigeria is a country created not by God but by a fellow human being and non-African called Frederick Luggard. As we all know, this is contrary to the laws of nature because the creation or emergence of a nation is only by divine providence through aggregation of social, religious and shared value systems, not by force or the dictates of one man.  Luggard's business-inspired creation we know today as Nigeria has made life unbearable for all peoples and intolerable...

It happened in the 2600 block of West 46th Place, police said.
