Two people have been reportedly killed while two others were abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri on Tuesday.

They were allegedly killed on their farmlands at Alau Lawanti, a village on the outskirt of Maiduguri.

Bulama Modu, a resident of Dalori quarters told reporters in Maiduguri that the corpses of the men killed by Boko Haram were brought to the village in the evening by security operatives and members of the civilian JTF.

According to him, the farmers were gruesomely murdered by their attackers, who violently stabbed and cut their victims with daggers.

"The corpses were taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. The families I learnt are retrieving the corpses for burial today.

"It is a very sad situation that Boko Haram is still perpetuating evil very close to us and go free without them being arrested or pursued to the end‎," he added

Victor Choji, the Executive Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, Port Harcourt, said this during the destruction of one of the illegal refineries on Thursday. He said all the refineries were discovered in Asari Toru Local Government area of Rivers, with 40 huge metallic storage tanks .
