7-Year-Old Girl Who Was Declared Missing Found Dead In A Bush In Osun 16th Feb 2017 A seven-year-old girl, earlier declared missing, was on Tuesday found dead in a bush near a sawmill in Iree Town, located in the North-Eastern part of Osun. The Police Public Relations Officer in Osun, Mrs Folashade Odoro, made this known on Wednesday in Osogbo.Odoro said that the body of the girl was discovered by Chief Oluode of Iree and later reported to the police. She said that the police, after receiving the information, “quickly deployed a search party to the scene and the body was discovered with visible matchet cuts.’’ Odoro said that the police suspected a foul play in the circumstances surrounding the death of the girl.According to her, the case is being investigated as a possible murder case. See the new fares for BRT and LAGBUS 16 February 2017, Lagos - Lagos commuters have few more days to enjoy the current fare of BRT and LAGBUS. Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has approved a 20 – 50 percent fare increase for LAGBUS and other BRT operators effective from Wednesday, March 1, 2017, The Managing Director of LAMATA, Engineer Abiodun Dabiri who disclosed this at a press briefing in Alausa, said Governor Ambode approved the new increment in view of the rising cost and the depreciation of the naira. By this development, thousands of commuters who use the BRT and LAGBUS buses daily in order to beat the gridlock in the city will now have to pay more. Under the price regime, the BRT (Blue bus), operated by Primero Transport Services, have increase fare from N75 to N100 for Ikorodu-Mile 12 route, Ikorodu to Fadeyi is now N200 from 120, while Ikorodu to CMS is now N300 from 195. The Nigerian man who resides in the United Kingdom, Oscar, was forced to arrange for a DNA test to determine the paternity of his erstwhile son, Valentine, when his wife allegedly told their presumed son that Oscar was not likely to be Valentine’s biological father. Valentine had dragged his supposed dad, Oscar, to a DNA test centre in Britain after his mother informed him a month ago that the man who had brought him up for the last 32 years may not actually be his dad. As a doting father, Oscar had brought Valentine to England from Nigeria and put him through school.
