LAGOS -NEW FARE INCREMENT FOR BRT AND LAGBUS
See the new fares for BRT and LAGBUS

Lagos - Lagos commuters have few more days to enjoy the current fare of BRT and LAGBUS.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has approved a 20 – 50 percent fare increase for LAGBUS and other BRT operators effective from Wednesday, March 1, 2017,
The Managing Director of LAMATA, Engineer Abiodun Dabiri who disclosed this at a press briefing in Alausa, said Governor Ambode approved the new increment in view of the rising cost and the depreciation of the naira.
By this development, thousands of commuters who use the BRT and LAGBUS buses daily in order to beat the gridlock in the city will now have to pay more.
Under the price regime, the BRT (Blue bus), operated by Primero Transport Services, have increase fare from N75 to N100 for Ikorodu-Mile 12 route, Ikorodu to Fadeyi is now N200 from 120, while Ikorodu to CMS is now N300 from 195.
The various franchise under the LAGBUS have also increased fare for the 60 routes they are plying across the state.
Transport from Ikotun to Iyana Ipaja, which cost N50, has moved up to N100 while Ikotun to Ikeja has moved up from N100 to N200.
Igando to Maryland is now N150 from the former N100, while the fare from Dopemu to Ikeja/Maryland has moved up from N150 to N200, among others.
The fare from CMS to Ajah would be N200, as against the former N150.
Commuters from Leventis to Eko Hotel would now pay N100 instead of N70, while those going to CMS from Oshodi would pay N150 as against N100.
With the increment, commercial buses popularly known as “Danfo” are also expected to jerk up their prices on these routes.
