7 GAZA GANG MEMBERS GUNNED DOWN ALONG THE SAGANA- MAKUTANO ROAD

- Seven suspected thugs have been gunned down along the Sagana-Makutano road

- According to reports on social media seen by TUKO.co.ke, the seven were armed and belong to the dreaded Gaza Gang members

- The gang which operates in Kayole, Nairobi is known for its notoriety and has been in police badbooks for years

- They were gunned down by DCI officers who were trailing them

Seven members of the outlawed Gaza gang that is mainly based in Nairobi's Kayole area have been gunned down.

The 7 were killed on Tuesday, September 5, along Sagana Makutano road at Rukanga near Makutano in Kirinyaga county.

Their deaths came a week after their gang leader, Mwanii Sparta was buried, having been gunned down by anti-crime police in Juja, Kiambu county, a week earlier in August 2017.

Mwanii, a criminal sought for months by police after the death of his wife, Claire Adi Vybz- posthumously nicknamed the hottest thug in Kenya, was gunned down by anti-crime officers as six of his cohorts managed to escape with their lives.

Mwanii was buried in Kibingoyi in Kirinyaga county, and the same road on which the 7 were killed is the only access road to Kirinyaga from Nairobi county.

The Gaza gang terrorises residents in Nairobi's Eastlands, breaking into MPesa shops and violently robbing residents.

So dangerous are they that police have been engaging with members from the gang on social media, giving rise to the infamous Hessy wa Kayole, and Hessy wa Dandora among other accounts

IPOB STANDS PROSCRIBED A TERRORIST GROUP -FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

The Federal Government of Nigeria, Tuesday, threw its weight on the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the categorisation of IPOB as a terrorist organisation by both the south-east governors and the Nigerian army, respectively, saying the activities of the group are similar to those of other terrorist groups. After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State.  People fleeing from violence in Central African Republic . Thousands of people have fled their homes as violence continues to engulf the south-eastern city of Bangassou in the Central African Republic (CAR), the UN on said Monday. More than 3,000 people had fled within hours of violence erupting late Friday when members of the mainly-Christian anti-Balaka militia attacked civilians and a UN field office. UN peacekeepers exchanged fire with anti-Balaka Monday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. Dujarric did not comment on reports that militiamen had agreed to leave the city on condition that UN troops stop firing at them. One thousand people are confined in a mosque compound, and around 1500 have sought refuge in a cathedral.
