ANOTHER CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT BY GUNMEN IN HIS PARISH IN LAGOS.

A Catholic priest, Rev.Fr Daniel Onukwubeuka Nwankwo,the parish priest of St Thomas Catholic Church, Onilekere in lagos Arch diocese was reportedly shot this morning in his parish.

Just as the Catholic diocese of Orlu is still battling to come to terms with the fact that Rev.Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo was kidnapped and killed by some evil men on the 1st of September 2017, another sad news has hit the mother church.

According to reports, some unknown gun men attacked him in the church early this morning after confessionals and apparently shot him in the abdomen.

He however survived and is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

EFCC UNCOVERS N13 BILLION CASH IN LOCAL AND FOREIGN CURRENCIES IN LAGOS APARTMENT

The whistle blowing policy of the Federal Government appears to be paying off as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday announced that it uncovered foreign currencies and Naira notes to the tune of $43.4 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million at a four-bedroom apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos. The total amount of money recovered at the current Central Bank exchange rate is over N13 billion. The operation followed a confidential information received by the Commission's Lagos office regarding some suspicious movement of bags in and out of a particular apartment in the building. Another source who is conversant with the apartment indicated that a woman usually appeared on different occasions with 'Ghana Must Go' bags, the EFCC said. Three people who supplied drugs across Manchester city centre were busted during a series of raids as part of a specialist police operation. The court heard how Tabacaru would take orders on a drugs hotline and use Mici and Hasanaj as runners around the city centre. A suspected ritual killer, Adebayo Mudashiru, has confessed that he and his colleagues buy human parts, including skulls, eyes and teeth, for N12,000. The suspect was arrested alongside three others in the Abeokuta and Owode Egba areas of the state by men of the Ogun State Police Command. The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, paraded the suspects at the headquarters of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Magbon, Abeokuta over the weekend. Iliyasu said the four suspects specialized in killing for ritual purposes and belonged to two different ritual groups. He said one of the groups, comprising Mudashiru and Rasheed Abass, who resided in the Totoro area of Abeokuta, were arrested on 5 October by operatives of FSARS. Five Zimbabwean nationals have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a mall in Johannesburg’s wealthy suburb of Hyde Park, the South African Police Service has confirmed.
