ANOTHER CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT BY GUNMEN IN HIS PARISH IN LAGOS.

A Catholic priest, Rev.Fr Daniel Onukwubeuka Nwankwo,the parish priest of St Thomas Catholic Church, Onilekere in lagos Arch diocese was reportedly shot this morning in his parish.

Just as the Catholic diocese of Orlu is still battling to come to terms with the fact that Rev.Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo was kidnapped and killed by some evil men on the 1st of September 2017, another sad news has hit the mother church.

According to reports, some unknown gun men attacked him in the church early this morning after confessionals and apparently shot him in the abdomen.

He however survived and is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

NIGERIAN SECURITY AGENTS FOIL ISIS/BOKO HARAM PLOT TO BOMB UK AND US EMBASIES

Nigerian security forces say they have foiled a plot by ISIS-linked Boko Haram militants to bomb the British High Commission and US Embassy in the capital Abuja. The Department of State Services announced that it had arrested five suspects who were planning attacks. A DSS official said a suspected Boko Haram member who was arrested on March 22, in north-eastern Yobe state, confessed details of the plot. The whistle blowing policy of the Federal Government appears to be paying off as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday announced that it uncovered foreign currencies and Naira notes to the tune of $43.4 million, £27,800 and N23.2 million at a four-bedroom apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos. The total amount of money recovered at the current Central Bank exchange rate is over N13 billion. The operation followed a confidential information received by the Commission's Lagos office regarding some suspicious movement of bags in and out of a particular apartment in the building.
