ANOTHER CATHOLIC PRIEST SHOT BY GUNMEN IN HIS PARISH IN LAGOS.

A Catholic priest, Rev.Fr Daniel Onukwubeuka Nwankwo,the parish priest of St Thomas Catholic Church, Onilekere in lagos Arch diocese was reportedly shot this morning in his parish.

Just as the Catholic diocese of Orlu is still battling to come to terms with the fact that Rev.Fr Cyriacus Onunkwo was kidnapped and killed by some evil men on the 1st of September 2017, another sad news has hit the mother church.

According to reports, some unknown gun men attacked him in the church early this morning after confessionals and apparently shot him in the abdomen.

He however survived and is currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.

Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. Five of the six who died on the spot were from the personal vehicle. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. The Kogi State Police Command on Wednesday arrested three notorious kidnappers terrorizing the state, particularly Okene axis. Jamie Harron, 27, has been sentenced to three months in jail in Dubai for touching a man's hip as he carried a drink through a crowded bar. He was arrested for public indecency at the Rock Bottom bar on 15 July. The electrician, from Stirling, claimed he was simply trying to avoid spilling his drink when he touched the man. It was thought the case against Harron might have been dropped after reports that the businessman he touched had withdrawn his complaint. But on Sunday the campaign group Detained in Dubai, which has been supporting Harron, said he had been sentenced to three months in jail for public indecency. The group said he would appeal against the jail term but he faced further court proceedings for drinking alcohol and for allegedly swearing at the businessman he touched.
