Ex-Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has apparently dumped the National Super Alliance (NASA) and joined the Jubilee party ahead of the October 17 repeat polls.

On Friday, September 8, Ruto was at Kaptatet stadium in Kericho with Deputy President William Ruto as they waited for President Uhuru Kenyatta to touch down ahead of a planned rally.The former NASA principal was seen all smiles with the deputy president amid claims he had ditched the opposition for Jubilee.

Uhuru was also seen warmly shaking Ruto's hand, an indication he was welcoming him to Jubilee.

He is set to be unveiled at the Kapkatet stadium during a Jubilee rally.

This comes days after Ruto denied that he had cut ties with Raila Odinga's camp.

Speaking to a local TV station, the former Chepalungu MP said he is in NASA to stay.

His defection comes a day after Wiper Secretary General Hassan Omar resigned from his post and said he will not campaign for Raila's presidential bid.

Ruto's position is likely to be filled by ex-Meru Governor Peter Munya who cut ties with Jubilee party and joined NASA.

Munya said he cannot dine with people who stole his victory in the August 8 polls. He lost to Jubilee's Kiraitu Murungi.

The Benue State government has denied the reports alleging that the consignments containing snakes intercepted by the Nigeria Customs in Calabar belongs to Governor Samuel Ortom. The Nigerian government has reacted to the killing of a Nigerian identified as Rasak Alao in South Africa. Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Reports indicated that the men were attacked following suspicions that they were into drug trafficking. Rasak Alao whose car was burnt lost his life in the attack which was carried out on him and five other Nigerians. In reaction, the Federal government issued a statement condemning the act and repeated attack on Nigerian nationals living in the country. MOUTH TATTOOED TEENAGE DAD CRIES OUT OVER HIS INABILITY TO FIND A JOB

A teenage father with a tattoo covering half his face saying DEVAST8 has cried out over his struggle to get a job. 19 year old Mark Cropp , who was recently released from prison, put a plea out on Facebook saying his facial tattoo was stopping him securing employment. He also said his tattoo which is not gang affiliated- wasn 't planned and was not supposed to be quite as big. He got it a number of months ago while in prison serving a two year and three month sentence in the Otago Correction Facility for aggravated robbery, the NZ Herald reports.
