MENTALLY ILL LADY GIVES BIRTH TO BABY BOY BY ROADSIDE (PHOTOS)

A mentally unstable woman has given birth to a bouncing baby boy in Sapele, Delta state, Sapele Oghenek reports.

The lady was said to have been assisted by a roasted plantain seller who noticed that she was in labor. The Good Samaritan however noticed that the placenta refused to come out, prompting her to call for help.

A doctor, Ugochuckwu, later arrived the scene and assisted her in delivering the baby safely, before being taken to the hospital, as her family were located. The baby has since been named Excel.

Heavily armed policemen on Tuesday in Dutse, Jigawa State capital, fired teargas canisters at a crowd that gathered at the Chief Magistrate Court Two for the arraignment of former governor Sule Lamido, who is being tried for making inciting remarks. Counsel for the Jigawa State Government, Ikenna Ekpunobi, insisted that Lamido should not be granted bail until investigation was completed. Emphasising that Lamido was charged with disturbing public peace and inciting public disturbance, Ekpunobi argued that the allegations were contrary to the provisions of the Criminal Code of Jigawa State. However, Lamido’s counsel, Felix Osimerah, quoting Section 36, sub-section 5 of the 1999 Constitution, argued that Lamido should be presumed innocent even as he stressed that the offences were bailable. A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for being in possession of human parts. Tribune Online gathered that the suspect had been under surveillance of residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building. It was also gathered that the neighbours of the suspect swooped on his residence at about noon on Sunday and the suspect was allegedly caught with human parts. ROUND LAKE BEACH.– Three teens have been charged after a suburban Illinois father was killed while trying to sell his iPhone using the popular app OfferUp, according to WGN-TV. Police say 43-year-old Trinidad Bueno-Sanchez of North Chicago, a married man with a 6-year-old child, did everything right when trying to sell his cellphone. Using OfferUp, he found a potential buyer who expressed interest in purchasing his iPhone 6 for $450, and agreed to meet them in the parking lot of a Meijer store in Round Lake Beach the evening of April 24. Five teens met him in the lot.
