President Trump fired FBI Director James Comey Tuesday, the White House said, moving to oust the man leading an investigation into his campaign operatives’ ties to Russia.

 Mr. Trump insisted he’s not part of the probe, but said he felt compelled to fire the director anyway.
“While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau,” Mr. Trump said in a letter to Mr. Comey.

 The president said a new director is needed at the Federal Bureau of Investigation who “restores public trust and confidence” in the agency.
He said he was following the advice of his attorney general and deputy attorney general. The White House said the search for a replacement will begin immediately.

 Democrats said the firing raises troubling questions about the current investigation into Russia and demanded Mr. Trump take steps to make sure the probe continues without interference. The firing is likely to intensify calls for a special prosecutor to take over.

          A 53-year-old Nigerian man who works at the United Nations was arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in Manhattan, over the past month and a half, law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York. The NYPD’s Major Case Squad arrested Abdullahi Shuaibu, of Queens, on Monday, April 17th, at his office at the Foreign Press Centers across from the United Nations building. Police believe he robbed banks while on work breaks.          Law enforcement sources say Shuaibu robbed a HSBC bank at 40th Street and Third Avenue on Monday and then returned to work shortly before he was arrested.They say he’s wanted in at least three other bank robberies.          Shuaibu is listed as a communication specialist at the U.N. John Cena sold his new Ford GT car, but the company was not happy with his move. Ford is taking legal actions by suing the "American Grit" star for violating their contract by selling his new $500k 2017 Ford GT. According to the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court in Michigan, Cena was "selected from thousands of applicants for the opportunity to purchase the Ford GT," TMZ reported. The "Total Bellas" star signed a deal where he agreed to hold onto the car for at least two years before he can unload it. McGregor had previously failed to show up twice for his court appearance over the ticket, and it was looking like he was going to make it a third time before he finally showed.
