REVIEW OF QUIT NOTICE MEAN NOTHING - MASSOB TELLS AREWA YOUTH

National leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Uchenna Madu, has urged the leader of Arewa Youths, Yerima Shettima not to review their October 1 quit notice asking Igbos to vacate the North.

In a statement released on Friday, Madu said it was not bothered about Arewa's plan to review the ultimatum.

"The review of the quit notice means absolutely nothing to us. We are not moved by their antics and I can assure you, we would not be found anywhere rejoicing over the review or withdrawal of the quit notice given to the people of Biafra by a coalition of Arewa youth groups.

"Whatever the plan or motive behind their ultimatum on Ndigbo to vacate the north should be carried out, or have they suddenly become cowards in their own land.

"The economic, social and rural developments of Arewa land are largely masterminded by the Ndigbo.

"MASSOB do hereby charge the coalition of the Arewa Youths not to back out from their threat against Ndigbo living in Arewa land.

"We advise Yerima Shettima and his 'cowardly colleagues' not to change their minds on the October 1 deadline,

"The world is waiting to see the latest political drama that will erupt in Africa," he said

FORMER BBC STUDIO CORDONED OFF AFTER MAN'S BODY WAS DISCOVERED

A man’s body has been discovered on the former BBC studios site in Manchester city centre. The body was found this morning at the building site on Oxford Road, which is currently being transformed into student flats. Greater Manchester Police have been called to the scene and the area has been taped off. Forensics officers have also been seen combing the area. Police are working to establish the circumstances behind the man’s death. The victim is believed to have been discovered by building site staff on Monday morning. It is thought he gained access to the building site over the weekend. A prophet of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C & S) Church in Lagos, Mr. Alimi Isaiah, 55, has been arraigned before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for allegedly being in possession of human skull and a horn. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, has backed out of his planned talks with the South-East Governors Forum » . The IPOB leader had met with the governors at the Enugu State Government House on August 30, 2017 said his decision was informed by the prevailing situation in the South East. "Accordingly, we will not engage in any meeting with anybody until the atmosphere is conducive and peaceful enough to allow for such, " he said. Christian Nwosu An ex - Administrative Secretary with the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mr. Christian Nwosu , on Thursday alleged that he was cajoled into confessing to taking a bribe of N 30m to compromise the 2015 general elections. Nwosu , who is being prosecuted before the Federal High Court in Lagos for alleged bribery , claimed that the three confessional statements he made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on December 28, 2016 and March 15 and 22, 2017 were not done voluntarily . 300 LEVEL VARSITY STUDENT SODOMIZES 10 YEAR OLD GIRL TO DEATH

A 300 Level student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana has reportedly raped a ten-year-old girl to death. The student was said to have anally raped the girl for over three years, damaging her anus and feeding her with a cocktail of painkillers which caused her kidneys to fail, killing her. Reports from Ghanaian online news media said the young man was arrested on Tuesday after the girl was taken to the hospital following her complaints of pains in her anus. Medical tests at the hospital showed she had been sodomised, and revealed damages to her intestines and kidney. The young man is reported to have given the 10-year-old girl eight tablets of paracetamol to kill the pains anytime he has sexual intercourse with her through the anus. He is also reported to have warned the girl not to reveal his sexual encounters with her to anyone or else she will die.
