YOUTH PROTEST SENATOR ADELEKE'S DEATH,SUSPECT FOUL PLAY

 Irate youths protesting the sudden demise of Senator Isiaka Adeleke have attacked a journalist attached to the NTA, Mr. Tope Alabi, and his cameraman.

 The incident happened as the NTA crew moved to the residence of the late politician in Ede to cover the sad event.One of the youths, however, used a motorcycle to rescue Alabi, while the cameraman ran inside one of the houses nearby as the youths wielding cudgel and sticks pursued him.

 The youths believed that Adeleke was attacked spiritually, while others claimed that he was poisoned, hence his sudden demise.

 They said he was killed to pave way for another APC aspirant to win next year’s governorship election.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, Tuesday, threw its weight on the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and the categorisation of IPOB as a terrorist organisation by both the south-east governors and the Nigerian army, respectively, saying the activities of the group are similar to those of other terrorist groups. After weeks of intensive manhunt, the Lagos state police command has arrested one Ismaila Adeyemi, 49, the suspected mastermind and killer of Hector Jobateh (the 2007 winner of Gulder Ultimate search) who was traced and shot dead at his residence at New Oko-Oba in Agege, Lagos State. The suspect who was arrested at gas line Ominiyi in Ijoko area of Ogun state, confessed to the crime and other numerous crimes, while other members of his gang have been arrested.  People fleeing from violence in Central African Republic . Thousands of people have fled their homes as violence continues to engulf the south-eastern city of Bangassou in the Central African Republic (CAR), the UN on said Monday. More than 3,000 people had fled within hours of violence erupting late Friday when members of the mainly-Christian anti-Balaka militia attacked civilians and a UN field office. UN peacekeepers exchanged fire with anti-Balaka Monday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said. Dujarric did not comment on reports that militiamen had agreed to leave the city on condition that UN troops stop firing at them. One thousand people are confined in a mosque compound, and around 1500 have sought refuge in a cathedral.
