YOUTH PROTEST SENATOR ADELEKE'S DEATH,SUSPECT FOUL PLAY

 Irate youths protesting the sudden demise of Senator Isiaka Adeleke have attacked a journalist attached to the NTA, Mr. Tope Alabi, and his cameraman.

 The incident happened as the NTA crew moved to the residence of the late politician in Ede to cover the sad event.One of the youths, however, used a motorcycle to rescue Alabi, while the cameraman ran inside one of the houses nearby as the youths wielding cudgel and sticks pursued him.

 The youths believed that Adeleke was attacked spiritually, while others claimed that he was poisoned, hence his sudden demise.

 They said he was killed to pave way for another APC aspirant to win next year’s governorship election.

THE LATE BELOVED SENATOR ISIAKA ADELEKE Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, rescued an aide to Osun State Governor, Ms Idiat Babalola, from mob attack at the premises of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, on Monday. According to the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to Amosun, Mr. Adejuwon Soyinka, the crowd of sympathisers demanded that Babalola be made to leave the premises of the Ede,Osun State country home of the Adelekes. The irate youths said Babalola was being touted to become the running mate of the anointed candidate of the APC. Problem started when Babalola was sighted by the mourners who demanded that she should be sent out. Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The accident occurred when the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and consequently swerved into the other lane, colliding with the Toyota Wish head-on. The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Adesina did not however disclose the reason behind the decision to cancel the meeting. Late Joy Odama Autopsy has revealed that Joy Odama who was allegedly killed by an Alhaji in Abuja, died after inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. Joy Odama, a 200 level undergraduate Mass Communication student at Cross River State University, according to her mother was murdered by Usman Adamu. Contrary to the bereaved woman's allegation, the police reports that the result of the autopsy found carbon monoxide fumes in her body. Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets.
