An 18-YEAR-OLD Form Three pupil at Mudadisi High School in Chivi allegedly committed suicide by poisoning after being reprimanded over a boyfriend by her sister-in- law. The body of Paidamoyo Munhowa of Taruvinga Village under Headman Madamombe was found along a foot path, about 50 metres from their homestead by her sister in-law , Ms Sheila Shoko (33). Paidamoyo was frothing from the mouth and beside her body there was a small pesticide bottle. Masvingo police spokesperson Inspector Charity Mazula said the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 11 PM. She said the girl's body was taken to Chivi Mission Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. "We have received a report of sudden death by poisoning involving a Form Three girl from Mudadisi High School in Chivi under Headman Madamombe area. A 24 year old mentally challenged man from Chiredzi allegedly stoned his father to death, police have confirmed. Fambai Chindani of Bhobho Village under Chief Tshovani, a mental patient who is said to have stopped taking his medication in November 2014, allegedly attacked Mundawana Chindani (85) on Wednesday morning. Police are yet to establish the motive behind the killing. Masvingo police spokesperson Inspector Charity Mazula said the deceased's body was taken to Chiredzi District Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. Benue, Kogi, top list of states owing workers in Nigeria (FULL LIST) Workers in Benue, Kogi, Abia, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti State have not received salaries in 2017, a survey conducted by BudgIT has shown. The civic tech organisation, in a statement on Tuesday, said up to 20 states owed their workers, including pensioners their entitlements ranging from one to 36 months. Lagos, Kano, Sokoto and others are the only state not owing workers in the survey. It revealed that the survey covered primary school teachers, secondary school teachers, local government workers, state independent workers, pensioners and state secretariat workers. "In particular, we discovered that many states have defaulted in the payments of pensions and gratuities," the statement read. Police are investigating whether the Brighton siege gunman took an escort worker hostage in a bid to lure officers into a deadly ambush. Gunman Yacqub Khayre injured three officers during a shoot-out that ended in his death at an apartment building in Melbourne's Bayside area on Monday afternoon. As a result, traders are expected to register on the web portal every buyer who purchases any item from them, especially mobile phones. The CAPDAN said that the need to create the portal became necessary given the rise in the sale of stolen smartphones and fake accessories in the market in the last one year. Embattled Nigerian artiste, Dammy krane, appeared in court today for his bail hearing in the 9-count fraud charges leveled against him in the U.S. He was in court with Chukwuebuka, his accomplice. Chukwuebuka, who is claiming to be Dammy krane's show promoter, filed paperwork saying that he is indigent. The suspect who hails from Kwara State was apprehended during the outward screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight to Saudi Arabia after testing positive to drug ingestion.
