It has been confirmed by the Senate that acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu will defend the agency’s budget amid corruption allegations against him,this was stated by Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crimes, Senator Chukwuka Utazi who said the committee would maintain the status quo by inviting Magu to defend the 2017 budget estimate of the EFCC as acting chairman of the agency.
“We are going to maintain the status quo, we are going to invite everyone,we are going to invite the acting Chairman of EFCC,Magu; he is still the acting Chairman of EFCC.
“Until he is removed,we will invite him for the budget defence and at the moment,he has not been removed.
“A letter was written to the Senate by President Buhari on Magu,a decision has not been taken on him and it was not referred to any committee or my committee for further actions,the letter was not even discussed and no decision was taken on it,it is not administrative,there must be resolution or reference to any committee in the Senate before actions are carried out.We will invite him for budget defence,”Vanguard quoted Utazi as saying.

Meet Lina, the Youngest Mother Ever to Give Birth at the Age of 5 Feb 10, 2017 May 14 1939,she gave birth to a baby boy by a Caesarean as her young pelvis was deemed to small for a natural birth. Her baby was born a healthy 6lbs and the infant was named Gerardo in honour of the doctor who delivered him. BREAKING NEWS;GUNMEN ABDUCT SCHOOL PRINCIPALS AND STUDENT

Gunmen suspected to be militants on Thursday morning invaded Lagos State Model College, Igbo Nla, Epe, Lagos, abducting the principals and some students. The kidnappers were said to have stormed the school in the early hours when the students were at the morning assembly. The gunmen abducted the principal of the junior secondary school, Mr. Oyesola and Mr. Akirinmade who is the Principal of the senior secondary school. They also abducted some of the students. Presenting the case to the House of Representatives, the member representing Epe Constituency, Wale Raji, appealed to the House to call on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State to treat the case with utmost urgency. In an alleged ecstasy to impress their paymaster, a team of police operatives, on Sunday, shot dead one Elvis Ovie and injured another, Onome Eko, during a party in Warri, Delta State. Operatives, three of whom are now in police detention, were said to have been in a shooting spree to impress an alleged internet fraudster popularly called 'yahoo yahoo boys' for whom they were providing security. It was gathered that the gun-wielding cops were led by one Insp. Imana Samuel, a Sergeant and a corporal from the Warri Area Command. About a year ago, maybe two, police believe a DeKalb County man in his mid-forties died at home. Nobody found him until Friday, when a homeless man who'd been coming by to scavenge as of late spotted the remains, according to police. The homeless man told a neighbor, who suggested the man call police, but he didn't, so the neighbor called Monday. Authorities responded and saw the skeleton through a window of the home on Telstar Drive in the Ellenwood area. It lay in bed. Shiera Campbell, DeKalb police spokeswoman, said the county medical examiner's office is working to determine the cause of death for the man, whose identity hasn't been released.
