Soweto – A Soweto based prophet popularly known by his followers as Prophet Desmond left tongues wagging after yesterday's Sunday service when he revealed the dates and causes of deaths of several celebrities.
The claims which he insisted that they were revealed to him by God when he was sleeping on Saturday night,have been received with mixed emotions by South Africans.
It all started when the prophet was preaching on death sermon,"Of all the fears that plague the heart of man, none is greater than the fear of death. It is our greatest fear, the sum of all other fears.We are afraid to die.We are afraid of what happens when we die.Death is the fundamental human problem",the prophet was quoted.
"Having said that,yesterday God revealed to me the actual dates that some celebrities are going to die,unfortunately I have no power to reverse what God says,but I was really touched after the dream",said the Prophet.
"Firstly God told me that he is going to take Winnie Mashaba at the age of 106 years because he is very happy about how she spreads his name through her touching music,besides,God described Winnie Mashaba as someone who fears and respect the Almighty,therefore she shall be granted long life and more blessings in return.Fortunately,she is going to die a less painful death,she is simply going to lose life in her sleep,just like that".
"God also told me about Babes Wodumo,he was really angry with her and he told me to deliver a message to her personally that she must change the way she is living.If she doesn't change she's going to die a painful death by a head-on car crash and she will be admitted in hospital for 12 months before she dies",continued prophet Desmond.
"We have the likes of Cassper Nyovest and Black Coffee,whom God told me that he gave them earthly riches to test their love for him despite the fact that they are not talented in what they do,but they seem to be forgetting the giver of riches therefore their lives are going to be cut short when they both reach 38 years through painful death"
When asked about his own date of death by the interviewer,Prophet Desmond said that he will personally inquire next time when God visits him.
Knives are out for the controversial prophet as the followers of Cassper Nyovest,Babes Wodumo and Black Coffee are baying for his blood for what they described as 'misinforming' the nation.

The Rivers State Police Command has nabbed a suspected cultist, who allegedly used a kidnap victim's intestines to prepare pepper soup. The  Police in Lagos have warned residents of the state against subjecting suspected criminals to jungle justice. Fatai Owoseni, the state police commissioner, in a statement on Friday warned that those found involved in the "unlawful and barbaric act" would be prosecuted.   "There is no justification for jungle justice on suspected persons," Mr. Owoseni said.   "It is barbaric and uncivilized. It is a manifestation of the erosion of our moral values and a disregard to sanctity of human lives.
