BREAKING NEWS;NNAMDI KANU GRANTED BAIL AT LONG LAST

A federal high court in Abuja has granted bail to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on special conditions.
He can not attend a rally or be in a crowd exceeding 10 persons.

 Binta Nyako, justice of the court, granted Kanu bail on “health grounds”. Kanu, alongside other three pro-Biafra agitators, has been facing trial for treason.

 Journalists were barred from witnessing the proceedings by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

A severely anorexic 15-year-old girl stepped in front of a train five days after being released from a psychiatric hospital, an inquest heard. Pippa ‘Pip’ McManus died at Gatley railway station after a family argument about her excessive gym use which ended with her running from her home shouting ‘I am going to kill myself now’. South Manchester assistant coroner Andrew Bridgman told jury members they would have to consider the risks to Pip of her release from the Priory Hospital, in Altrincham, and if that release had been properly managed. Her parents, James and Marie, had expressed reservations but felt they were ‘left with no choice’ but to agree with Priory medics’ assessment that their daughter should go home. I prefer to remain in prison as maid rejects freedom in court Feb 22nd 2017,          A 26-year-old house maid, Mary Atte, arrested and charged before Isolo Magistrate's court and remanded in prison for stealing her boss' N2m,  has refused to leave prison, Pmexpress reports. .   She reportedly said she preferred to stay there in good faith, insisting that the prison condition was far better for her than when she was outside and would continue to remain there for her comfort. Atte made the confession when her matter was struck out for lack of diligent prosecution, by the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. ​The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has today revealed the location of the ark of Noah which every archeologist has been looking for over the years. According to the Ooni, the ark is in Ile-Ife and it is there because ‘everything started in Africa’. In his Facebook page, he wrote.. “The Ark of Noah which the entire world has been searching for is in Ie-Ife. The Ark of Noah has been in existence and it is in Ife land. GAY MARRIAGE;53 ATTENDEES OF A GAY MARRIAGE IN KADUNA ARRESTED

Police, yesterday, arraigned 53 persons, who were allegedly arrested during a gay marriage, before a magistrate’s court in Chediya-Zaria, Kaduna State. The prosecutor, Mannir Nasir, said the accused were arrested on April 15 at a motel and were being charged for conspiracy, unlawful assembly and belonging to a gang of unlawful society. He said the offences contravened Sections 97, 100 and 197(a) of Criminal Procedure Code, CPC. According to Nasir, “on April 15, at about 9p.m., a team of policemen, led by DSP Muhammad Lawal-Mashi, arrested and brought to the police station 53 persons.” The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges, and their counsel, Yunusa Umar, asked the court to release them on bail in line with sections 35 (4) and 36 (5) of the Constitution.
