GHANA-MAN KILLS SON FOR RITUALS

A 31-year-old farmer, Abdul Salam, has been arrested by the Asankragwa police for purportedly killing his six-year-old son for alleged ritual purposes.

 The incident reportedly occurred at Adidaase, near Amanso Amenfi in the Wassa Amenfi District of the Western Region yesterday.

 According to eyewitness reports, the man allegedly cut off his son’s head and legs to be sent to a spiritualist to help him (father) get more money.

 Some of the residents explained that the mother reported to the elders of the farming community that her six-year-old boy had got missing.

 The unit committee members in the area subsequently formed a search party to look for the little boy.

 When the father, Abdul Salam, was confronted, he allegedly admitted killing his own son and removing some parts of the body for rituals.

 “Upon interrogation, Abdul Salam confessed that he murdered the little boy to sell the head and the legs for ritual purposes,” one resident alleged.

 DAILY GUIDE has gathered that Abdul Salam is currently in the custody of the Asankragwaa police pending further investigations.

Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash  has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway . The meeting of the Federal Executive Council that holds every Wednesday did not hold yesterday. Yesterday would have afforded President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country on Saturday the opportunity of presiding over the council meeting for the first time in over three months. The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, disclosed in a statement that the meeting would not hold. Jamie Harron, 27, has been sentenced to three months in jail in Dubai for touching a man's hip as he carried a drink through a crowded bar. FORMER SHELTON MANAGER ACCUSED OF SEXUALLY ASSAULTING EMPLOYEES

The former manager of a Shelton restaurant is accused of sexually harassing employees and touching them inappropriately. Police started the investigation in March 2016 when three female employees of Dee's Kitchen at 509 Howe Ave. in Shelton went to police to report that 58-year-old Bryan Stockbridge, of Ansonia, was sexually harassing them and had touched them inappropriately on several occasions. Detectives quickly obtained an arrest warrant, but they could not apprehend him, police said. They then obtained information that Stockbridge fled to California after an interview with detectives. Shelton police obtained information today that Stockbridge was back in Connecticut, living in Ansonia, and they took him into custody. Stockbridge has been charged with three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court tomorrow.

Some school children have suffered irreparable harm after a lorry ploughed straight into them on the road.
