The controversial OurMumuDonDo Protest group led by the popular Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, has stormed EFCC offices to demand that Diezani be repatriated.
Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, and his #OurMumuDonDo protesters on Monday stormed the offices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Abuja to demand the repatriation of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
Diezani, who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan, has been the subject of several graft probes.
Already, the courts in Nigeria had ordered the forfeiture of some properties, linked to the former ministers and believed to have been acquired with stolen wealth, to the federal government.
Gunmen suspected to be militants on Thursday morning invaded Lagos State Model College, Igbo Nla, Epe, Lagos, abducting the principals and some students. The kidnappers were said to have stormed the school in the early hours when the students were at the morning assembly. The gunmen abducted the principal of the junior secondary school, Mr. Oyesola and Mr. Akirinmade who is the Principal of the senior secondary school. They also abducted some of the students. Presenting the case to the House of Representatives, the member representing Epe Constituency, Wale Raji, appealed to the House to call on the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State to treat the case with utmost urgency. About a year ago, maybe two, police believe a DeKalb County man in his mid-forties died at home. Nobody found him until Friday, when a homeless man who'd been coming by to scavenge as of late spotted the remains, according to police. The homeless man told a neighbor, who suggested the man call police, but he didn't, so the neighbor called Monday. Authorities responded and saw the skeleton through a window of the home on Telstar Drive in the Ellenwood area. It lay in bed. Shiera Campbell, DeKalb police spokeswoman, said the county medical examiner's office is working to determine the cause of death for the man, whose identity hasn't been released. The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), a civil society organisation, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to instruct the military to immediately end any monitoring of Nigerians on the social media. SERAP, in a statement yesterday by its deputy director, Timothy Adewale, also called on the president to ensure that military operations comply with the constitution and the country's obligations under international human rights law. Six dead, tens injured in DEADLY highway crash has claimed six -The accident involved a saloon car and a bus -Five of the deceased were from the saloon car Six people lost their lives early on Sunday morning after deadly accident involving a saloon car and a bus along the Londiani-Muhoroni-Kisumu Highway .
