Benue State Police Command has busted two kidnap syndicate of 8 including a Gang of 4 allegedly led by a woman believed to be an associate of the wanted militant leader, Terwase Agwaza, aka Gana, who a week ago abducted a businessman. The police operation also led to the arrest of three women whose responsibilities were to provide food for the victims, who was rescued alive. The businessman was kidnapped alongside his son, who was later released to source N20 million as ransom for his father.  The state's Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, said: "During investigations, we discovered that the lady, who was arrested had the responsibility of pencilling down those to be kidnapped and those to be killed by the gang. They are all associates of Gana, the wanted militant leader. Also arrested, after reliable information, is one Victor Ayanngor, who conspired with Ordue Abraham, Kelvin Dankor and Emmanuel Terver to kidnap his girlfriend and collect N200,000 ransom."

Armed Robber Burnt To Death In Calabar By Mob After Juju Failed February 16, 2017 A dead man was found lying by the side of the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Murtala Mohammed Highway, closed to RCC roundabout, Calabar after he was burnt to death by an angry mob. According to reports,the deceased was a member of a 5-man gang who invaded the Ikot Abasi Obori and the Kasuk town area of Calabar Municipal Area Council. 3 SUSPECTED THIEVES ARRESTED AT THE LAGOS HIGH COURT

File Photo The Police at the Lion Building Division, Lagos Island, Lagos have arrested three suspected thieves who allegedly jumped into the High Court premises at Igbosere Road on Lagos Island at midnight with dangerous weapons to steal. The suspects, according to a Police source could not succeed in their plans before the Police stormed the scene to arrest them and took them to the station following a distress call to the Police by the securitymen attached to the Court. The suspects were arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on a three-count charge of felony with attempt to commit felony at the High Court, Lagos. The man who was a ‘wildlife conservationist) was in the business of rescuing animals including snakes. He had been contracted to extract a poisonous cobra which had slithered into one of the private cars near a housing complex. Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. A News Agency of Nigeria correspondent, who visited the pregnant woman and mother of four on her hospital bed on Monday, reports that the left hand of the victim was cut off from the wrist. According to CBS affiliate WJHL, Scott Edmisten was “unsteady” and “very angry” when authorities pulled him over during a traffic stop this week. On Tuesday, WREG reported Edmisten was driving on a suspended license when he was caught going 55 mph in a 30 mph zone. He allegedly floored it, reaching speeds of 80 mph before finally coming to a stop and taken into custody. An inventory of his vehicle recovered a loaded .357 magnum, a loaded .45 semi auto, a full auto AR rifle in .223 caliber, a full auto AR rifle in .308 caliber, over 900 rounds of ammunition, a mask and black fatigues.
