DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON FOR PRESIDENT 2020

Multi-talented Dwayne Johnson, also known as ‘The Rock’, says he will run for the office of the United States President in year 2020.

 He made the announcement to his over 86m Instagram followers on ”Saturday Night Live” which he hosted for the fifth time.

 The former Wrestler with 150m social media followers chose Tom Hanks, an American actor and filmmaker, as his running mate.

 Followers call
Most of his social media followers have been calling on the Fast and Furious star to run for President ever since Donald Trump who was not a regular politician became president.

 The Rock mentioned to his fellow club members on the SNL that people have been asking him to run for ”POTUS”, and he is obliging.

 ”I’ve heard you, America, 2020,” ‘The Scorpion King’ actor said on his Instagram page shortly before he announced it on the widely followed SNL show.

 ”In the past, I would have never thought of running for President. ”But now, I’m actually worried I’m too qualified.”

 He told the SNL audience that: “Starting tonight (Saturday), I am running for the president of the United States.”

 His chosen running mate standing on the podium with him responded by saying: ”the truth is, America needs us”.

 Judging from the comments on social media, many Americans believe the announcement was a joke while others express support for Johnson and Hanks presidency.

CONSULTATIONS ONGOING ON WORLD'S LARGEST BLACK NATION'S UNITY

The Presidency on Tuesday said the consultations initiated by acting President Yemi Osinbajo will continue until sustainable peace is achieved. Media aide to Osinbajo made this known in a statement. Osinbajo met with opinion leaders, traditional rulers as well as political leaders from the North and South-East regions on the back of the exit notice issued by a coalition of northern youth groups to the Igbo resident in the North. Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. 48 BODIES OF TERRORIST ATTACKS RECOVERED

The extent of the fatality recorded during last Tuesday's ambush of oil exploration workers in the Lake Chad Basin by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, emerged Thursday as THISDAY sources said 48 bodies of the victims of the attack were deposited at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) mortuary. The information came just as Acting President Yemi Osinbajo met with service chiefs Thursday in Abuja over the resurgence of terrorist attacks in the country and ordered them to relocate to Maiduguri, the epicentre of the Boko Haram terror.
