Multi-talented Dwayne Johnson, also known as ‘The Rock’, says he will run for the office of the United States President in year 2020.

 He made the announcement to his over 86m Instagram followers on ”Saturday Night Live” which he hosted for the fifth time.

 The former Wrestler with 150m social media followers chose Tom Hanks, an American actor and filmmaker, as his running mate.

 Followers call
Most of his social media followers have been calling on the Fast and Furious star to run for President ever since Donald Trump who was not a regular politician became president.

 The Rock mentioned to his fellow club members on the SNL that people have been asking him to run for ”POTUS”, and he is obliging.

 ”I’ve heard you, America, 2020,” ‘The Scorpion King’ actor said on his Instagram page shortly before he announced it on the widely followed SNL show.

 ”In the past, I would have never thought of running for President. ”But now, I’m actually worried I’m too qualified.”

 He told the SNL audience that: “Starting tonight (Saturday), I am running for the president of the United States.”

 His chosen running mate standing on the podium with him responded by saying: ”the truth is, America needs us”.

 Judging from the comments on social media, many Americans believe the announcement was a joke while others express support for Johnson and Hanks presidency.

Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. 2 ARMED ROBBERS SHOT DEAD DURING GUN BATTLE WITH POLICE

Two armed robbers were reportedly shot dead in a gun battle with the Kano State Police command and gang of robbers who shot a Police Patrol vehicle along Kano/Zaria road at a point close to Garun Mallam Village arrested. This was revealed in a statement signed by the command 's spokesperson , DSP . Magaji Musa Majia . According to him , the superior response officers attached to the Patrol van gunned down the robbers and sent the rest running. He further stated that one locally made AK 47 rifle , 1 revolver pistol, 12 live ammunition , charms and torchlight were recovered. A total of 13 members of the armed robbery gang that specializes in car/motorcycle snatching were also paraded by the police command. 72-year-old Clarence White who got fed up of his wife complaining about his inability to satisfy her sexually or financially ended up pulling the trigger on her. The man is said to have grabbed a 22-caliber handgun and shot his much-younger wife in the face at their Bronx home on Thursday morning.
