"SITUATIONAL VICTIM;DAMMY KRANE DID NOT PAY HIS JET FEES HIMSELF",AUNT CLAIMS

Dammy Krane

Aunt to the arrested Nigerian musical act Dammy Krane has said that the artiste did not pay his flight fees himself.

The singer was nabbed for using a stolen credit card to board a private jet.

The crime is said to be listed as "Grand Theft 3rd Degree/Armed/Conspiracy/Credit Card Forgery/Intent to Defraud."

According to the US-based aunt, who pleaded anonymity, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Krane was a situational victim. She spoke with Sunday scoop.

She said though, the 'Amin' singer doesn't stay with her in the US, he visited her recently and she got wind of his arrest on the internet just like everyone.

"We don't stay in the same state over here but Dammy came to visit me just last week. I got the news of his detention on the Internet just like everybody else.

"After making some calls, I was able to confirm that he was indeed arrested. He has been in the US for some time now and he has regularly been booked for shows all across America.

"The guy he was arrested with had actually booked him for a show this weekend in Miami. And he (Chukwuebuka) was the one that paid for the jet and made hotel reservations with the stolen card details."

She gave further insights that show promoters usually took full responsibilities of flight bookings and so 'Dammy' cannot be blamed in this situation.

"A lawyer has already been contacted but unfortunately, Dammy would have to stay in jail till Monday when they would be able to go to court to perfect bail conditions," she aadded.
