TERRORIST GROUP ATTACK MILITARY BASE IN NIGERIA AHEAD OF INDEPENDENCE DAY

Scores of Boko Haram militants were killed on Friday evening during a failed attempt to attack military Barrack in Bama town of Bama local government area of Borno State.
DAILY POST learnt that the attackers engaged the military within the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., before they were repelled.

A security source told DAILY POST that the attackers burnt down one military vehicle and also killed a police officer while retreating after they were overwhelmed by the military.
“The Boko Haram elements tried to enter Bama Army barracks but they didn’t succeed; the military killed many of the terrorists,” the source hinted.
Attempt, however, to get the military to speak on the report did not yield result as the deputy director, army public relations, theatre command of the operation lafiya dole, Col. Onyema Nwachukwu did not pick his calls when contacted.

The man who killed 18-year-old water polo player Cole Miller in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley in a random one-punch attack has been sentenced to seven years in prison.Above is the late victim. Armstrong Renata, 23, pleaded guilty to unlawful striking causing death in the Supreme Court in Brisbane. Plane crash. FILE At least four people were killed on Saturday when a propeller-engine cargo plane crashed in the sea near the International Airport in Abidjan, a Reuters witness said. Six others were believed to have been injured in the crash of the Antonov aircraft which police said had 10 people on board. This comes as an investigative effort by the police following Caroline's allegation that Davido abandoned Tagbo's body in the hospital. On Tuesday, October 4, Caroline accused the DMW boss of abandoning Tagbo at a General Hospital in Lagos after his birthday.
