Benue, Kogi, top list of states owing workers in Nigeria (FULL LIST) Workers in Benue, Kogi, Abia, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti State have not received salaries in 2017, a survey conducted by BudgIT has shown. The civic tech organisation, in a statement on Tuesday, said up to 20 states owed their workers, including pensioners their entitlements ranging from one to 36 months. Lagos, Kano, Sokoto and others are the only state not owing workers in the survey. It revealed that the survey covered primary school teachers, secondary school teachers, local government workers, state independent workers, pensioners and state secretariat workers. "In particular, we discovered that many states have defaulted in the payments of pensions and gratuities," the statement read. Police are investigating whether the Brighton siege gunman took an escort worker hostage in a bid to lure officers into a deadly ambush. Gunman Yacqub Khayre injured three officers during a shoot-out that ended in his death at an apartment building in Melbourne's Bayside area on Monday afternoon. The 29-year-old, who has an extensive criminal history and was released on parole in December , had made a booking with the escort worker, taken her hostage and killed a man who was working at the building. As a result, traders are expected to register on the web portal every buyer who purchases any item from them, especially mobile phones. The CAPDAN said that the need to create the portal became necessary given the rise in the sale of stolen smartphones and fake accessories in the market in the last one year. Embattled Nigerian artiste, Dammy krane, appeared in court today for his bail hearing in the 9-count fraud charges leveled against him in the U.S. He was in court with Chukwuebuka, his accomplice. Chukwuebuka, who is claiming to be Dammy krane's show promoter, filed paperwork saying that he is indigent. According to our source, the court looked at his papers and it was found that he has no money or property in any bank. He was thereby kept in jail till 22nd of June, 2017. She was going on pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia with substances that tested positive for cocaine. The suspect who hails from Kwara State was apprehended during the outward screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight to Saudi Arabia after testing positive to drug ingestion. At least 36 bodies have been found at the Resorts World Manila entertainment complex that was stormed by a gunman, in what officials believe was a botched robbery. Most of the dead suffocated in the chaos as guests and staff tried to flee choking smoke at the complex after the attack began shortly after midnight.
