Former President, Mr Goodluck Jonathan has confirmed the theft of his property from his house in Abuja. He confirmed the incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, following some media reports that the home was stripped bare and some of the items stolen were being sold in markets. "The house, which the former President bought from CITEC estate developers in 2004, was totally stripped bare by the thieves who stole every movable item in the house including furniture sets, beds, electronics, toilet and electrical fittings, as well as all internal doors and frames." A  14-year-old girl, Obiamaka Ngozichukwu Orakwe, was raped to death in her parents' apartment in Abule-Ado area of Lagos State by miscreants. The act was reportedly carried out by a group of miscreants, who usually hanged out in a smoking joint in the area, following the deceased's negative response to their advances. Tragedy, as gathered, occurred last Monday, while the Junior Secondary School 3 student was alone at home. A man has been nabbed in Lagos by the police for allegedly enticing underage girls with N500 to fondle his manhood. A local government worker, Mercy Oluwafeyibunmi, has been arrested by the police and detained at the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (Annex), Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos State. It was gathered that the woman, who had been in detention for two weeks, had also been admitted to the police clinic at Alagbon after falling ill. Punch Metro gathered that the offence of the mother of three was that she bore the same middle name, Adetokunbo, with one Eileen, a Nigerian based in the United Kingdom. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, in a letter to the State House of Assembly, is seeking the approval of a supplementary budget of N11 billion for the 2017 fiscal year. The governor said the budget would take care of certain areas of economic development that were not previously captured.(Kogi state has not recorded any singular form of development since the present government came into existence) Bello stated that the budget would enable his administration to continue to execute its projects and programmes.(EFCC please note) The governor said it will also address security issues and other obvious sectors' challenges that are within and outside the current approved budget. After reading the letter to the House, Speaker Ahmed Imam directed the Majority Leader, Mathew Kolawole to slate it on the order paper for consideration at the next legislative day.
