Gov. Dickson, Ibori discuss ways to tackle insecurity in Niger-Delta region

The governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson and the ex-governor of Delta state, James Ibori have resolved to jointly mobilize and employ the resources at their disposal towards tackling security issues plaguing the Niger-Delta region.
This was made known in a statement signed and issued by Daniel Iworiso-Markson, the Chief Press Secretary to Dickson, following a closed-door meeting between the two regional leaders which held at Oghara, Delta state residence of Ibori on Thursday.

According to the statement, the two leaders will play major roles in rallying key stakeholders towards tackling some of the several challenges affecting the development of the region.

They will also work to create windows of opportunities for the teeming youths in the region to be gainfully engaged in the protection and preservation of critical assets of the country situated in the region.

Governor Dickson and his entourage also met with his Delta state counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa, to discuss other critical issues of mutual interest to their respective states.
