MY PROBLEM ......

.... was not that some people placed their money in the MMM scheme. I reallvy cannot blame any Nigerian that did that. The banking system failed on all levels. The government failed. The people were frustrated as they lived in a country characterized by massive failures. MMM or anything whatsoever that promises an alternative is worth considering.

So, it is really not the fault of the people that they went into MMM. Nobody should blame them that much and I am sure that has not been my purpose. My problem is not that they put their money there.

My problem is that when we decided to discuss the matter in this platform, which we created for such public debate; when we decided to discuss it, many of the people in MMM attacked me. They got rude and attacked me and everybody else in the most vicious way possible. That is our problem.

For behaving that way, we saw for the first time, the beasts in some of those involved. We condemn them not because they put their money there, but because they were so horrible and so rude as to try to deny us the right to air our views and opinions.

Indeed, those people, not those who put their money in MMM, but those who attacked others for expressing themselves do not need to belong to any civilized discussion group. So, I encourage the DPA Admins and Moderators to go back and review all past posts on MMM. Identify those who attacked others for expressing themselves, and remove them from our discussion group. They don't belong here. They don't belong anywhere. Even the MMM should not have accepted their money.

ONIGBESE GOVERNOR OF KOGI MOVES TO END STRIKE IN STATE UNIVERSITY

Governor  Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has appealed to members of the state university's academic staff union to call off their strike.(Which would be a big mistake if they comply) Bello, who visited the University at Ayingba on Tuesday, pledged to pay all the salary arrears of lecturers and non-academic staff of the institution this month. He said the payment would cover those on contract and study leave, as well as those employed in 2015. The governor, however, said those who take the government to court would not benefit from the payment.(Listen to such nonsense) "I am going to pay every single dime, compute the arrears of all outstanding salaries. CORRUPT POLICEMEN ON FRAUDSTERS' PAYROLL ARRESTED FOR KILLING 1 AND INJURING ANOTHER DURING CHILD DEDICATION

In an alleged ecstasy to impress their paymaster, a team of police operatives, on Sunday, shot dead one Elvis Ovie and injured another, Onome Eko, during a party in Warri, Delta State. Operatives, three of whom are now in police detention, were said to have been in a shooting spree to impress an alleged internet fraudster popularly called 'yahoo yahoo boys' for whom they were providing security. It was gathered that the gun-wielding cops were led by one Insp. Imana Samuel, a Sergeant and a corporal from the Warri Area Command. Nigerian artiste and the father of the 2nd child of serial entrepreneur, Toyin lawani, has been arrested by the Lagos State police.  As at the time of filing this report, Lordtrigg is at the Jakande police station, Lekki, Lagos, for not paying his hotel bills at the Golden Bird Hotel in Ilasan, Lekki He's currently behind the counter with his friend, without slippers. The hotel had reported them and police busted them in their room today, with their laptops.  The hotel said they claim to be musicians but the police is claiming that they are "Yahoo boys," after busting them with four laptops. It was gathered that they have been staying at the hotel for six months without paying.

NIGERIAN SECURITY AGENTS FOIL ISIS/BOKO HARAM PLOT TO BOMB UK AND US EMBASIES

Nigerian security forces say they have foiled a plot by ISIS-linked Boko Haram militants to bomb the British High Commission and US Embassy in the capital Abuja. The Department of State Services announced that it had arrested five suspects who were planning attacks. A DSS official said a suspected Boko Haram member who was arrested on March 22, in north-eastern Yobe state, confessed details of the plot. That led to the arrests of the five plotters, who were based in Benue State, in the country's middle belt, and the Federal Capital Territory, on March 25 and 26. 30 NEW ILLEGAL REFINERIES FOUND IN RIVERS STATE

Victor Choji, the Executive Officer of the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Pathfinder, Port Harcourt, said this during the destruction of one of the illegal refineries on Thursday. He said all the refineries were discovered in Asari Toru Local Government area of Rivers, with 40 huge metallic storage tanks . The News Agency of Nigeria reports that some of the storage tanks were filled with petroleum products suspected to be diesel and crude oil. Choji noted that the discovery was in continuation of the current mop-up of illegal refineries and illicit bunkering of petroleum products by crude oil thieves.
