Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose on Thursday urged Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari who is in London for medical checkup.
He said this while speaking with some reporters at the Government House on Thursday when he hosted the General Overseer of Champions Glory Assembly Church, Pastor Joshua Lasisi.
The governor also advised the Presidency to release details of the President's health in order to stop the spread of his death rumour.
He said, “But the best thing we should all realize is that the Presidency owes Nigerians accurate information about the situation of things.
“Otherwise people would continue to spread one rumour or the other. Nigerians demanding for truthful and accurate information about the President's health from the Presidency are right because the moment you assume such a position, your life has become public.
“So, we should let Nigerians have the accurate information about the whereabouts of Mr. President.
“At the same time Nigerians too, should be praying for the President. Nobody has control over health challenges, the only thing they are doing wrongly is hiding the facts from Nigerians.
“I cannot say I cannot be sick when I'm sick because I am a public figure. I represent the interests of many people. They must know where I am, what is wrong and what am doing it is the right of every Nigerians. But I want to urge all of us to stick together and pray for Mr. President.”

T wenty six year-old Alice Awuor Omito from Rongo, Migori County, Kenya, has shocked many after confessing that preparing the dead for burial is the one thing that makes her happy. The employee of Rosewood Funeral Home in Rongo said that she dropped out of nursing school after fears that she would not secure employment after school. The mortician began working as a morgue attendant at Star Mortuary in Kisumu two years ago, aged 24 before transferring to Rosewood in Rongo and says that she can't imagine being away from the dead. "I enjoy spending a better part of my working days with the dead. I can't imagine staying away from them even for a single working day. I have to go and look at the bodies stored in freezers daily," she said. "I discontinued my studies in nursing and pursued mortuary science because of available job opportunities in the latter field. The Nigerian government has reacted to the killing of a Nigerian identified as Rasak Alao in South Africa. Recall that the Nigerian man, an auto mechanic, was on Thursday killed in South Africa after he was attacked alongside other Nigerians in Polokwane, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Reports indicated that the men were attacked following suspicions that they were into drug trafficking. Rasak Alao whose car was burnt lost his life in the attack which was carried out on him and five other Nigerians. In reaction, the Federal government issued a statement condemning the act and repeated attack on Nigerian nationals living in the country.
