REVOLUTION OR PAIN;KOGI GOVERNOR'S CONVOY ATTACKED OVER UNPAID SALARIES

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, Wednesday evening escaped mob attack on his convoy at Ega Market in Idah local government area of Kogi state.He was on his way from Ibaji, the hometown of his deputy.

 An eye witness who spoke under anonymity explained that he went to Ibaji, to flag off a road construction.It was gathered that the youths of Idah town sighting the governor,immediately mobilised and blocked the road waiting for his return.
On his return,security agents attached to his convoy,having seen the road block, immediately began sporadic shooting and in the ensuing melee, people scampered for safety.

 But those who were fearless, descended on his convoy and battered vehicles while chanting “pay Kogi workers’ salary.”

 The report also showed that the Governor was to supervise demolition of a house belonging to the father of an alleged kidnapper but had to quickly rush out of Idah having seen the audacity with which the attack on him was being carried out.The government is yet to issue official reaction on the matter.

Erstwhile Senate leader, Ali Ndume has stated that he has no ill feelings against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye. A nurse has become the first in a wheelchair to work on the frontline of the NHS.Michelle Quested, 33, lost the use of her legs in a car accident seven years ago. But the dedicated nurse was determined not to let her disability get in the way of her clinical work at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. German national dies after slumping at Lagos airport A German national, Mr Brenard Christo, who slumped  on Friday  at the General Aviation Terminal of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, has died at an undisclosed hospital. The spokesman for the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the death of the German to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  on Saturday . Alabi said the deceased was waiting to board a local Arik Air flight  on Friday  morning when he suddenly collapsed. Former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina wrote a letter to Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki before he went into hiding revealing that over N3 trillion hidden pension fund is yet to be mopped from 97 pension offices.
