KANSAS MAN ARRESTED AND INDICTED FOR KILLINGS RESULTING FROM HATE CRIMES

(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) — A Kansas man charged with fatally shooting an Indian national at a suburban Kansas City bar has been indicted on federal hate crime and firearms charges.

The Justice Department announced Friday that Adam Purinton, of Olathe, Kansas, was indicted by a federal grand jury.

The man allegedly killed and another wounded by Purinton on Feb. 22 at Austins Bar & Grill in Olathe, were Indian nationals. The victim was Srinivas Kuchibhotla and the injured man was his friend, Alok Madasani. A third man, Ian Grillot, was shot and wounded when he intervened.

The indictment alleges Purinton shot Kuchibhotla and Madasani because of their perceived race, color, religion and national origin.

The Justice Department said in a news release that it will decide later whether Purinton will face the death penalty.

Five HIV patients left ‘virus free’ after undergoing vaccine therapy. 26TH FEB 2017, Mitchell Warren, executive director of the Aids Vaccine Advocacy Coalition (Avac) in Barcelona, says a new vaccine has succeeded in suppressing the virus in five patients without the need for daily drugs. According to The Independent, Warren said the success was recorded when two innovative HIV vaccines were combined. Justice Ibrahim Buba of a Federal High Court in Lagos has issued an Anton Piller order, directing the seizure of a film titled "Okafor's Law" directed by Nollywood Producer, Omoni Oboli. The court also issued an interim order, suspending the release and launch of the film, in any movie theatre or cinema house on March 31, pending the determination of a motion on notice before the court. The judge ordered the seizure of all copies, materials, projections or infringing materials, relating to the subject matter. The orders followed an ex parte application filed by a company, Rancoteur Productions Ltd, on behalf of a Canada based script writer, Jude Idada. Police officers The Ondo State Police Command says it had arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged kidnapping and killing of two female students of the Adeyemi College of Education in Ondo state. The Public Relations Officer of the command, Femi Joseph, revealed that one of the suspects was arrested on Friday after participating in a robbery operation in Ondo town, while the other accomplices were arrested on Saturday. Victims It was gathered that the two students, Oladepo Blessing and Oluwasemilore Mary, had earlier been declared missing, while their whereabouts was unknown.
