NO RESPONSIBLE IGBO PERSON SUPPORTS BIAFRA

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has berated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu's agitation for Biafra, describing it as child's play.

The governor spoke on Wednesday after leading a delegation of the Southeast Governors Forum on a visit to victims of the recent Benue flood disaster in Benue state.

The governor said no reasonable Igbo man was backing the agitation.

"I have always said that IPOB is an agitation group, but the captioning is bad when you talk of sovereignty within a sovereign nation and also talking of secession.

"Let me assure you that no Igbo person or man is in support of secession and people must see this as a childish act. We must stand up to address it before it becomes a national problem.

"As for us leaders in that area, it will be insane for anyone to think that the IPOB leader will ask us to follow him to seek secession.

"So Nigerians must learn to address it specifically. If you are addressing IPOB you should be specific and not to address it as if it is an Igbo affair." the governor said.

Nokia 3310 is coming back! 15 February 2017,  Nokia will re-launch its popular 3310 mobile phone, perhaps the best-loved and most resilient phone in history. It will be revealed at Mobile World Congress later this month, according to Evan Blass, who first revealed the details. The phone was originally released in 2000 and in many ways beginning the modern age of mobiles. The Edo Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aisosa Amadasun, and four others, have been brought before a Benin High Court, for allegedly committing contract fraud to the tune of N1.5bn, NAN reports. A herdsman carrying gun Eight persons were feared dead following an attack by suspected herdsmen, on two villages in Logo Local Government Area of Benue state, a Police statement said. The Spokesman of the Police Command in Benue, ASP Moses Yamu, confirmed the attacks in a statement on Monday in Makurdi. Yamu said the attacks on Akaa and Tse-Orlalu villages in Mbamar, Ugondo communities, were perpetrated by suspected herdsmen late on Sunday. He said that the police had yet to establish the motive for the attack and that adequate personnel had been drafted to the villages to restore normalcy. He said the attackers invaded the villages, killed eight people and injured many others.
