NO RESPONSIBLE IGBO PERSON SUPPORTS BIAFRA

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has berated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu's agitation for Biafra, describing it as child's play.

The governor spoke on Wednesday after leading a delegation of the Southeast Governors Forum on a visit to victims of the recent Benue flood disaster in Benue state.

The governor said no reasonable Igbo man was backing the agitation.

"I have always said that IPOB is an agitation group, but the captioning is bad when you talk of sovereignty within a sovereign nation and also talking of secession.

"Let me assure you that no Igbo person or man is in support of secession and people must see this as a childish act. We must stand up to address it before it becomes a national problem.

"As for us leaders in that area, it will be insane for anyone to think that the IPOB leader will ask us to follow him to seek secession.

"So Nigerians must learn to address it specifically. If you are addressing IPOB you should be specific and not to address it as if it is an Igbo affair." the governor said.

Houses Belonging To Nigerians Burnt In South Africa By Nationals February 14,2017 Some South African nationals in Rosettenville, south of Johannesburg, have burned down about 15 houses belonging to immigrants, especially Nigerians residing there. A wanted Boko Haram suspect, Idris Ibrahim Babawo, has been apprehended in Ondo state, Sahara Reporters learned on Tuesday. Ibrahim, aged 42, was apprehended at Isua Akoko in Akoko South East Local Government Area of Ondo state by some local vigilante group.
