SUSPECT IN TEMPLE VARSITY STUDENT"S MURDER HAS CRIMINAL PAST

A former Temple University student has been charged in the death of a current student whose remains were found over the weekend.
Joshua Hupperterz, 29, was taken into custody Friday and charged with murder after authorities found a body, confirmed to be missing college student Jenna Burleigh, 22. Burleigh’s body was found on property belonging to Hupperterz’s grandmother.

Burleigh was reported missing on Thursday night, and was last seen on surveillance footage leaving a bar near campus in north Philadelphia, with a man police identified as Hupperterz.
Hupperterz was charged with murder, and faces charges of possession of an instrument of crime, evidence-tampering and abuse of a corpse.
Hupperterz last took classes as a junior at Temple last spring, Philly.com reported.
Court records showed he pleaded guilty to theft from a motor vehicle in 2013, and drug possession in 2011.
In 2013, Hupperterz allegedly broke into a home and stole electronics, credit cards and beer.
Hupperterz gave a “partial confession,” according to Philly.com. Police say they believe he killed Burleigh in his Philadelphia apartment, then moved her body at least twice.

ARREST MADE IN SLAYING OF TEMPLE UNIVERSITY STUDENT
When investigators entered his apartment – which was near the bar where investigators believe he and Burleigh met – they found blood, drugs and cash.
Philadelphia Police Capt. John Ryan said the murder did not appear to be premeditated.
Burleigh’s cause of death was determined to be from a mixture of blunt trauma and strangulation, according to the news outlet.
Burleigh, who was studying film and media arts, had transferred to Temple last week from a community college and commuted to school.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A Memphis preschool worker has been charged with aggravated child abuse after police say she dragged a 16-month-old boy by one leg and broke the other. Police said the toddler was injured September 20 at the M.E.M. Preschool and Summer Camp on Macon road while he was being watched by Omeika Williams. Investigators said Williams told the child’s parents the boy tripped over a rug and hurt his left leg, but video from the preschool showed her dragging the boy by his right leg causing his left to twist under his body. An Ile-Ife Magistrate Court has remanded one Isreal Ojimi, 38, said to be a prophet and Bose Adetimikan, 27, in prison custody over alleged rituals. The prosecutor, Inspector Emmanuel Abdullahi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 20, 2017, around 10:00 pm at Mosarajo area via Ile-Ife. According to him, they had armed themselves with some charms in the form of a garment with an intention to commit felony. He further explained that they conducted themselves in a manner that caused mayhem, adding that their behavior was against the norms and ethics of the nation and had contravened sections 213, 249 (d) and 516 of the State Penal Code. Amilcar Henriquez shot dead in his Panama home . Police in Panama say national team soccer player Amilcar Henriquez has been shot dead while leaving his home. The press chief for Panama’s National Police says the killing happened Saturday in the country’s Colon province. Authorities say a gunman shot the 33-year-old midfielder several times. Another two people were wounded. The player died at a nearby hospital. President Juan Carlos Varela has condemned the killing on his Twitter account. MURDERED 13 YEAR OLDS FOUND

February 15 2017 A homicide investigation is underway Wednesday after two bodies, presumed to be missing 13-year-olds Liberty German and Abigail Williams, were found on Tuesday. The two school friends were last seen on Monday afternoon after they went for a hike along the Delphi Historic Trail in Carroll County, Indiana - just a few miles from home. Sgt.
