She was discovered in a tent near Gilabbey Rock, in the south-west of the city, in the early hours of Friday morning.
Ms Dennehy's death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage by gardaĆ.
GardaĆ said their investigation will be directed by the post-mortem findings.
The woman's death brings to three the number of homeless people who have died this week in Ireland.
A mother-of-two (25) died tragically in emergency accommodation in Kildare, while a man (aged in his 50s) who was found unconscious on Suffolk Street in Dublin later passed away in hospital.
Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy is now set to convene an emergency housing summit this week.
Children's Minister Katherine Zappone yesterday expressed her frustration at the delays in increasing the supply of social housing.
