FANI-KAYODE BLASTS PMB FOR ASKING WORLD BANK TO CONCENTRATE ON NORTHERN NIGERIA(AN EVIDENCE TO PROVE BUHARI'S MARGINALIZATION)

 Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari, after it emerged that he told the World Bank president, Kim Yong Jim, to concentrate on Northern Nigeria.

Fani-Kayode, in a series of tweets on Friday morning, claimed Buhari sees Nigerians from the South and Middle Belt as "low-lifes, vassals and slaves".
He wrote: "President of the World Bank, Kim Yong Jim, has said that @MBuhari told him to concentrate their efforts on northern Nigeria.

"Why am I not surprised? After all as far
as@MBuhari is concerned southern Nigerians and Middle Belters are nothing but low-lifes, vassals and slaves."

Kim had said: "You know, in my very first meeting with President Buhari he said specifically that he would like us to shift our focus to the northern region of Nigeria and we've done that. Now, it has been very difficult. The work there has been very difficult.

The former manager of a Shelton restaurant is accused of sexually harassing employees and touching them inappropriately. Police started the investigation in March 2016 when three female employees of Dee's Kitchen at 509 Howe Ave. in Shelton went to police to report that 58-year-old Bryan Stockbridge, of Ansonia, was sexually harassing them and had touched them inappropriately on several occasions. Detectives quickly obtained an arrest warrant, but they could not apprehend him, police said. They then obtained information that Stockbridge fled to California after an interview with detectives. Shelton police obtained information today that Stockbridge was back in Connecticut, living in Ansonia, and they took him into custody. Stockbridge has been charged with three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Derby Superior Court tomorrow.

Gunmen Sunday abducted a would-be couple, the best man and their friends at Akunnu-Akoko in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State on their way to Akure, the Ondo State capital for their engagement ceremony. THISDAY gathered that the groom, Moses Yakubu, his would-be wife and three of their friends were coming from Okene in Kogi State and heading to Akure for the engagement slated for Sunday when the car in which they were travelling was seized at gunpoint at Akunnu-Akoko. The father of the bride, Mr Ahmed Yakubu, who confirmed the incident, said the bride and her younger sister were later set free by the kidnappers but took away the groom and his friends. Suspected Boko Haram Members Kill 10-Year-Old Boy February 16, 2017 Policemen attached to the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris’ Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT), have arrested suspected Boko Haram members, who abducted a 10-year-old boy in Maiduguri, Borno State and later stabbed him to death. The victim, Baa Goni Maina, was abducted on January 14 by 18-year-old Adam Bakura and his brother, Modu Bakura. He was killed three days later after his father couldn’t cough up the N10 million ransom the brothers demanded. It was learnt that although Maina’s father was comfortable, he was not rich enough to have N10 million. The suspect and deceased lived in the same community. Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. A News Agency of Nigeria correspondent, who visited the pregnant woman and mother of four on her hospital bed on Monday, reports that the left hand of the victim was cut off from the wrist. The Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken over some properties traced to a former special adviser to Dan Abia,erstwhile managing director of Niger Delta Commission (NDDC) Mr George Turnah. The anti-graft agency said the confiscation was done on Thursday, May 25 following an interim forfeiture order granted it by a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. It was learnt that one of the properties covered by the forfeiture order is a massive complete building known as ‘KOLO VILLA’ in Kolo Town, Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa state. The EFCC said apart from the properties, the court also ordered the taking over of some accounts belonging to the suspect. Youths and traders protest customs invasion of rice warehouse Feb 23rd 2017; Some youths and traders have brought activities and vehicular movement on the ever busy Lagos-Abeokuta expressway to a halt, following a protest over alleged invasion of the rice market by men of the Nigerian Customs Service.The protest which was said to have lasted for hours, took the intervention of the Sango Ota Police Area Commander, Adegoke Fayoade, to restore normalcy to the area. Meanwhile, the Customs Public Relations Officer, Federal Operation Unit, Jerry Attah, dismissed the claims of market invasion, explaining that men of the command on surveillance noticed smugglers were moving rice in bulk on motorcycles from a canoe to a store in the area. He added that the command only evacuated some of the alleged smuggled rice at the warehouse in the early hours of Wednesday.The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said normal activities have been restored to the area.
