MEMPHIS POLICE DEPARTMENT IS INVESTIGATING OVERNIGHT SHOOTINGS,DOA

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department is investigating two shootings and a DOA that occurred overnight.

The first call came in at 10:52 p.m. from the 4600 block of Sandy Park. Officers arrived at the location and found a man shot. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers took one male suspect into custody.

A few minutes later, at just before 11 p.m., officers responded to a man down call at the intersection of 3rd and Belz. Two people, a man and a woman, were found injured in the road. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The woman was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Hours later, at just after 3 a.m. Saturday morning, officers were called out to the 2400 block of Dana. They found one victim shot. A male suspect fled the scene wearing blue jeans and white tank top.
All of these are ongoing investigations. Memphis police are asking anyone with any information to call (901) 528-CASH.

The Nigerian Air Force has sentenced to death by hanging Airman Kalu Bernard, for killing his lover, Solape Oladipupo, aka Shomzy Shomzy, on March 12, 2017. The judgment, which started at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, dragged till 4 p.m. when it was stood down before the panelists reconvened at 7:30 p.m. Reading out the 70-page court findings, which lasted for about two hours, the Judge Advocate, Flight Lieutenant M.A. Umoh, listed the eight-count charges against 21-year-old Kalu to include murder, house breaking, impersonation, attempted murder, among others. The defense counsel, Abimiku Ewuga, urged the court to temper justice with mercy, saying the accused was his family breadwinner. The President of the court, Gp. Capt. Saudi police shoot dead IS suspect MARCH 8TH 2017,          Police in Saudi Arabia said Wednesday they shot dead a member of the Islamic State group in the capital, the latest suspected jihadist to be killed by security forces. A 40-year-old man, Stephen Akpata, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Onyinye Faustina Eze, to death at the Kpansia suburb of Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital. A man has been arrested by the Egyptian police after he allegedly admitted to beating his 85-year-old mother to death because his wife complained about her. Ghanaian Reggae musician Ekow Micah has stood his ground regarding his stance for smoking "wee". Micah referred to the Holy Bible and cited an instance where God smoked marijuana popularly known as "wee" In an interview with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM's "Entertainment Review", Ekow Micah said he smokes because the almighty God smoked. He quoted Psalm 18:7-8 to buttress his point. "The earth trembled and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains shook; they trembled because he was angry. Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it". This news comes after dancehall artist Samini admitted to also consuming the illegal narcotic in the comfort of his home. Ekow Micah was arrested, charged and put on trial for possessing illegal wee.
