HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY AFTER PERSON FOUND DEAD OFF I-25 NEAR GREENLAND EXIT

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — Detectives said the death of a person found on the shoulder of I-25 near the Greenland exit turned into a homicide investigation Saturday.
A spokesperson with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said dispatchers received an emergency call at 10:13 a.m. about a body on the shoulder of the highway.
The death was not related to a vehicle crash.
The right lane of southbound I-25 was closed two miles south of the Greenland exit for several hours. It reopened just before 5 p.m.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the on-site investigation was ongoing.

Man allegedly chops off pregnant woman’s hand A man, who was engaged in a fight with his neighbour in Isaba-Ekiti, allegedly chopped off the left wrist of a pregnant woman, Aisha Adam, with a cutlass. The extent of the fatality recorded during last Tuesday's ambush of oil exploration workers in the Lake Chad Basin by the terrorist group, Boko Haram, emerged Thursday as THISDAY sources said 48 bodies of the victims of the attack were deposited at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) mortuary.
